Sansa sat at the table, watching everyone celebrate her wedding. She was not celebrating, she understood the insult they were giving her by placing her with the dwarf and while he seemed tolerable enough he wasn't exactly what she imagined for a husband.
She looked over at her new husband, he was currently drowning himself in wine. At least he too didn't want this marriage but it was for different reasons and he had it better than her. She didn't touch the wine, she was too busy sulking, her sulking turned to terror as the familiar horrible king approached her.
"Hello king Joffrey."
"Happy to finally be a Lannister?"
Sansa didn't grace that question with a response, she simply looked away. He then leaned in, whispering in her ear.
"Maybe I'll see you later, after my uncle has passed out drunk. How would you feel about that?"
Sansa didn't respond, she pursed her lips and balled her fists at her side. Eventually Joffrey caught on that she had no intention of answering his sneer question, he frowned angrily and rolled his eyes as he sauntered off. Sansa relaxed and placed her hands in her lap, how she wanted to get out of this terrible room, how she longed to be back in Winterfell with her family. She could practically feel the snow under her fingertips, cold and wet yet it glistened in the sunlight like diamonds. Beautiful and serene, she smiled ever so slightly at the fond memory. Suddenly the clinging of a glass brought her back from her daydream, her striking blue eyes rose up to see Joffrey, his usual sadistic smirk had reappeared.
"It's time for the bedding ceremony!"
He shouted gleefully, he then continued.
"Come gentlemen! Relieve the bride of her clothing."
His lips curled creepily as the women in the room grabbed her arms and began dragging her out of the seat, suddenly the entire room froze when her now husband yelled.
"There will be no bedding ceremony."
Joffrey seemed puzzled by this, he shifted his weight to his other foot as he asked.
"Excuse me uncle? You will bed, it is tradition. I am the king and I command it."
"Then you'll be fucking your own bride with a wooden cock."
Tyrion spoke quietly, in a low, almost growl like voice as he stabbed the table with a knife. Joffrey's face turned red with anger as he went to snap back, Tywin quickly defused the situation by blaming it on the dwarf being drunk.
Both Tyrion and Sansa agreed it be best if they left the hall and went to their bedroom, as to not cause anymore unnecessary trouble. Sansa walked in and immediately turned her back to Tyrion, she wrung her hands nervously as he sat down, poured himself another glass of wine and then said.
"My lord father has commanded that I consummate this marriage."
"I understand."
Sansa replied meekly. She walked over, poured herself a cup of wine, took a large gulp and then walked back to the bed, facing away from her now husband. With shaking hands the girl began untying her dress, slowly removing each of her layers as they dropped to the ground. Just as she was going to pull the last layer down over her shoulders Tyrion said quiet, yet sternly.
"Stop."
She froze and turned just enough to see him. He shook his head and continued.
"I can't, no well I can. I mean I won't."
"And what of your father?"
"To hell with him. I won't do it, not until you want me to."
She turned even more, this time to face him as she asked.
"What if I never want you to?"
"Then I never will."
Sansa nodded slowly, a newfound respect had now appeared for him. He may be a dwarf but he was kind, far more kind than Joffrey. At least he was kind.
"I-I'll be getting to sleep then."
The girl replied as she began undoing her hair, her long red strands fell and seemed even more beautiful down like that as she laid down. Tyrion grabbed himself a pillow and set up a small bed on the chair. Sansa peeked over at him and inquired.
"Are you sleeping there?"
"Where else would I sleep?"
"In your bed."
Sansa said hesitantly, she didn't want to sleep with him but he was so kind to her, she felt bad making him sleep on such an uncomfortable surface.
"I'll be fine here, thank you. Sleep well."
Sansa nodded and willed her eyes shut before slowly drifting off to sleep.
