The Blue Tail [Part 2]

"Holy sh*t..." Hank muttered as he stares to the unconscious brunette.

The young man was good looking, not gonna lie about that. He noticed how the his skin was a bit pale, like he didn't got any sunlight throughout his life. And in the brunette's arm, he noticed a band like scale in his right arm.

Hank is not gonna leave this guy on the shore in his birthday suit. So he took off his jacket and wrapped it on the younger man's body.

Everything was dark. The last thing I remembered I was at the surface of the sea and made a deal to the witch.

Then someone or something knocked me unconscious. Or was it the witch's spell?

I finally opened my eyes and noticed I was in a place somewhere

Different.

As I had heard humans called it a 'house'. I sat up and felt the softness I was sitting on. Is this a couch?

"Hey, you're finally awake.." An old man walked to me as I tried to get away. I shifted, I noticed and felt something.

I have legs! It worked! I guess its not that bad after all. He looked at me confusedly. He has a funny beard, I don't know, I found it funny.

"Do you talk..?" He asked me again. Where are my manners, of  course!

"Y-yes." I replied nervously. This is my first time talking to an actual human. It kind of scared me.

"Oh good." He sighed in relief. "I found you on the shore earlier, you were naked.. What happened to you?"

"I-I made a deal with the sea witch and it worked!" I replied honestly. "I have legs!"

He glanced at me weirdly. The old man looked confused, was this his first time hearing this kind of story before? I remember what mother told me before, human had a different lifestyle compared to us merfolks. So, maybe that answers it.

"First of all, are you high on weed?"

"Do you mean sea weeds? Of course I love eating them!" I answered happily.

"What the actual f*ck.." He added. I don't really understand humans.

"What?" I titled my head confusedly.

"Nothing.." He sighed loudly and smiled at me. "Hank by the way."

"Uhm.. Connor, my name's Connor." I introduced myself. I'm still not really used to the human world. But I think I'll like it here.

Hank wasn't sure if this guy was crazy or not. But with the blue fish scale looking band in Connor's arm, he now thinks merfolks are real. Plus the tail he saw beforehand, another point.

Maybe he should talk to the gayest man he know, Gavin f*cking Reed. Wait no, the old man is sure he'll make a video about this. So he decided not to.

There the brunette was, petting his big fluffy Golden Retriever named Sumo. Hank just let him because how happy he looked. And of course, he gave the young man some old clothes that won't fit him anymore, and it fits perfectly at the brunette.

"So this is a dog?" Connor asked as the dog licked his face. "Sumo- stop!"

"He likes you." Hank smiled faintly. The old man took a deep breath. "Connor, can I ask?"

"Sure! What is it?"

"Why would you give up living under the sea to be here?.. I mean take a look at it, life is boring here." Hank sighed.

Connor stayed silent as he look down. The brunette smiled sadly.
"Fascination got me into this situation." He finally answered. "I loved the surface to the point of giving up my life down there."

"Even if you sold your soul to that witch?" He told Hank about everything before hand. And the old man was surprised on how open he was.

Connor nodded slowly. "I know I sound stupid, I never liked my life back in my kingdom. Everyone was expecting me to inherit the throne, and I don't want to."

"Wait- so you're a runaway prince?" The human widen his eyes.

"Yes?"

"Oh for f*ck's sake." Hank rubbed his temples. "The whole kingdom is gonna search for you."

"I don't care." Connor frowned.

"God dammit.." He muttered.

Suddenly a doorbell broke their conversation.

"I'll answer that." Hank took a deep breath then went to the front door.

Connor gulped as he saw a familiar face.
