Elements. The things that make up the world. Split into five categories, each with its own power. Earth, strong and steady, unmovable, but slow. Not even the strongest sword can cut through the mightiest of stone. Wind, graceful, yet deadly. Fast and powerful strikes can come from any direction but not so easily stopped. Water, beautiful, flowing grace. Over time can erode the strongest of things and rust the most powerful armor but blocked and stopped all the same. Fire, destruction, power, prideful, can tear down the strongest fortresses. But corrupted. Lightning, God's element, very few can match this element's powerful strikes. Faster than wind, more destructive than fire, stronger than earth, more unpredictable than water, this element is the best.

Those born to these elements have a choice to train them or to hide them. Those who choose to train them choose to protect the people who can't. They can go to a school or train by themselves. This is a tale of five heroes, five boys who grew into men to protect their home. These are the children of the elements.
