Living With These Five

Trouble...

By 10 o'clock I was ready and waiting outside for a taxi. I'd been up since 6 with excitement but wouldn't you? I haven't seen this person in 2 years. Like a little child on Christmas morning I raced around my room getting ready. I even cooked everyone pancakes, well by everyone Lou, harry and Paul were up so I cooked for them and put the batter in the fridge for everyone else to make their own. 

The taxi journey was a 40 minute drive as our hotel is right on the edge of the town so I had left earlier because I didn't know what the traffic would be like, but unlike I thought we flew through every traffic light and there was no build up anywhere. Once I was outside the Opera House I had 20 minutes to waste, the Starbucks next door was calling my name so I went a got a drink before standing outside the entrance taking photos of the building architecture. 

"You never go anywhere without your camera do you?" a voice asked from behind me.

"APRILLL!" I said giving her a hug! 

"I've missed you to sis" 

"I can't believe we actually get to meet up" 

"I know dad would kick off"

"Does he still hate me?" 

"No, not really last time we spoke about you was at the weekend and he said he missed you but then said that it was the way he liked it" 

"Sounds about right" 

"So what brings over here?" 

"Long story" 

"We have all day" 

"Well I don’t know if I can tell you" 

"You’re not in trouble right?"

"No of course not" 

"Okay, good. Let’s go for a walk and you can tell me then"

"Urmm, I’ll tell you as much as I can"

"Alright" She said as we head off down one of the roads next to the Opera House. 

What are you guys doing today?x

I text Liam 

"So why you in Belfast?" I asked my sister

"Because work asked if I would visit here and write a column on the tourist industry for the area. So I said yes. Mostly to get away from everything."

"Is everything alright at home?"

"As good as it gets. You know what it's like. It get heated from time to time. Dad believes that I need to get a proper job as I will never leave home on the salary I get"

"I know your pain" I say laughing, boy I’ve been it that positions before. I feel so sorry for her. 

"Guess what though?" Her voice full of excitement.

"What?"

"I've just paid the deposit on a house" 

"You’re kidding?"

"Nope!" 

"That's great" 

"I move in two months today!" 

"That's quick!" 

"Yeah, it's because the couple who own the house are moving into a retirement home so there's no chain of buyers" 

"Brill" 

"Next time you’re in the UK, you should come stay with me! OMG! That means no arguments with dad over picking up the phone when you call! I can call you whenever!" 

"YES! Oh my gosh! This is great news! And I’ll still be in the country when you do move"

"Really?"

"Yeah!" 

"Can you help me move in?"

"I'd love to but mum and dad would hate it if I did" 

"They are on holiday, I told them I was moving in on that date and they told me that they are going aboard, the flights were already booked. I was so worried that I was going to have to move on my own" 

"I'll happily help!" I said as excited as ever, it will be so much fun! 

"Yes! I know we said we would do touristy stuff today but it's my job. Can we go shopping for house stuff?" 

"Yeah" 

"Great! I've got all the stuff planned out and the couple have let me have painters in the week before as they will have already moved out so I will be able to just move my stuff in and not have to decorate." 

"Thats brilliant" 

Just our luck there was a John Lewis at the end of the road, our pace quickened with excitement and we spent the rest of the day shopping. When we finally headed back to April's hotel to put the shopping down before we went back out for dinner, our arms ached from carrying so many bags. The taxi's boot was full of bags and there was even more by our feet. 

"Here we are ladies" The man said as we pulled up. 

"Thank you" I said paying him. 

Another man came and opened the door for us, he worked for the hotel and brought over a trolley like object when he saw the amount of shopping we had. 

"Thank you" we both sang, so pleased that we didn't have to carry it all again. Heading up the lift we walked into the room, laughing about the looks we were getting over our shopping. April opened the door and we walked in. 

There was a figure sat on the bed who turned to look at us. We both stopped dead in our tracks. 

"DAD?"
