A/N: This was also an English Assignment, so I guess it wouldn't hurt to post it!

Today is the day. Today I will finally be able to just sit and relax right here with no one to bother me on this bench. No a single thing-

“Hades!”

I give up. I totally give up. Sighing I looked up and to my right, walking this way, with all his arrogance, is the big man himself, the God of all gods, Zeus.

“What do you want and stop calling me that. I don't go by that name.” I stood up and walked over to him.

“How are you doing today?” Irritated. Mad. Annoyed. I didn't say those, for it would be to mean and rude to say to him.

“Fine, why?”

“You are coming to my party tonight, right? Great! I will see you there!” He walked off before I could say no to that awful invitation of his. I am going to be forced to go regardless, I mean he will drag me from my house and make me go.

“Where is it?” I called after the older man with the long white hair and a lightning staff.

“Olympus Lane, the usual house!”

Drunk Gods, great. Walking away from the quiet and surreal park that had once been my get away, I headed back to my home. Why do I keep going to these dumb things? Oh, that's right, because someone has to keep everyone in line. King of the underworld keeps everyone safe, this is going to be a great party.

I arrived home I went straight to my bedroom and changed into my one and only set of party clothes, a black button down tee and some old black slacks. Stupid party here I come.

~~

“Pluto! How long have you been here?” Zeus shouted into my ear, throwing his arm around my shoulder and downing another drink. I answered his question and he nodded. “I have a friend I want you to meet.”

“I don't want to meet anymore of your stupid friends.” I spoke clearly and had to dumb it down a little for the taller drunk man.

“She is this way and her name is Millie.” He smirked and dragged me to where all the drinks were at. “She is a mortal.”

We soon approached a small girl with blue eyes and blonde hair. “Millie this is Pluto. Have a nice evening!” Zeus ran off to go bug some other people around this awful party. I sighed looking at the woman who was very pretty.

“ Hi, so how do you know him?” I asked her after grabbing a non-spiked punch.

“Friends of my brothers, I don't really know him all that well.” Her voice was beautiful.

“What about yourself.”

“He is a really old friend, well more like my brother.” I spoke quietly, not sure why I did but it happened. The rest of the evening lasted with us just goofy around, and just getting to know each other. It was one of the best nights of my life.

Millie and I spent a lot of the next four months together and it was great. I think we hit it off and that I might actually be her and what to marry her someday. Today we are going to meet up to go shopping or something.

“Pluto, tell me why have I not seen the place of your living?” Millie asked as I pulled up outside her house and she climbed into the front of my black car.

“You haven't seen it because I don't want to scare you off before you get to know me and love me.” I looked at her out of the corner of my eye to see that she was pouting. “Oh, do not pout.”

“I must put, for it is the only way for me to get why I want and I want to see your house and get to know you more.”

Millie didn't know about me bring the God of the Underworld yet and I wasn't planning on telling her this soon but I guess I will have to today.

“Fine, I guess I can show you where I live. If you promise to marry me that is” I smirked looking over at the small woman next to me. She sat there blushing and probably thinking about it for about a solid fie minutes before answering.

“Okay I will marry you. Now onward to your house!” she declared and I laughed and turned left going to the very end of Olympus lane. It turned into a dark and scary path to my home of living death.

“Where are we going?”

“To my house, I am the god of the underworld. This is where most the dead come to live if they do not wish to move on with their lives.” She took a deep breath and I could feel the anxiety radiating off her at my words of higher standings. She didn't say anything the rest of the drive, not moving or anything. I slowly pulled up in my driveway and parked the car.

“I'm sorry, I should have told you earlier about it.” Nothing. Sighing I unbuckled my seat belt and opened my car door. “It's much nicer on the inside.”

“Okay.”

We walked quietly up to my front door. “I promise Millie, you will like it here, it is much more lively on the inside?” I opened the front door and didn't hear her behind me. “Millie?” I turned around to notice her retreating into the forest. No, if she goes in there she will be attacked by all things and creatures that died and are evil.

“Millie! No!” I set off in a sprint after her. She was too far ahead and I was losing sight of her. No no no no. I cant let her get hurt. Everything was quiet, the trees were calm, I lost her.

Then I heard the most terrifying thing I never wanted to hear in my entire lifetime. Something that could make any immortal fall down in a fiery pit of agony. It was her, Millie had released the most blood curling scream I have ever heard and I have heard a lot in my time of taking souls, it came from my right. Ten feet to my right and then I would see her, I turned and ran faster than I could imagine possible. I may a God but I can't use my powers in Olympus for these reasons, if you bring a mortal here, you are responsible for all that happens to them. I just need to get her out of here and up to Zeus in the castle on the hill in time, I have to explain to him that it was my fault and to Millie I must apologize about everything, I need to get her back to the good side of Olympus Lane.

“Millie!” I called, she was close I can feel her soul. I can't lose the first person who loved me. I was running and then I saw her. She was lying there, she was dead and something ripped out her heart. I couldnt take this. I picked her up, I had to bring her to Zeus.

~~

Now two weeks later, her funeral. was a sad and depressing event. I stood in the background, I had been shunned by all the other Gods for letting her die. It was my fault, I shouldn't have let her go to my house, I should have warned her about the forest. I should not have let her come into my life.

Everyone shunned me, so after this I will never go topside again. Millie, I'm sorry. Goodbye.

~~

It's been nine months since I have left my home for any reason. I stayed here and read every book in my possession.

“Master, you really need to go and get some air, sitting here is not going to help anyone.” I looked up at my butler over my book and nodded.

As I was walking through the castle, I could not help myself to think about the impeccable nor could I stop from thinking about the fact of how I might have to be alone for the rest of my life, if I could ever die. You see I am Pluto, ruler of the underworld, and I am dreadfully lonely. None of the Goddesses wanted to marry, nor did any of the immortal women. They all think I am to scary or mean, but none of them would stick around long enough to get to know the real me, or they all heard stories of my and how I am so mean.

“Okay, bring around my horse.” I guess it couldn't hurt to go out the the edge of the forest and ride around the river. And that's exactly what I did.
