Alex was on a walk home from school. He usually went through this specific ally way. It went through the dangerous part of the city. The ally was known for many thefts. Some of them even lead to murder. And he even knew this! None of these things as so much as bothered him. Because he didn't carry anything worth stealing. Plus it was the shortest way to home.

But something else bothered him when he starting to walk through the ally. A dark figure in his path. Staring toward him. He could only see the outline of him. He didn't feel too concerned about it, he just kept walking toward the man. He noticed an insanely happy smile on his face. As he got within arms reach he noticed his bright eyes tracking him. He was to close to the man in order to stop so he kept walking past him. The second his foot touched the ground past the man, he felt a hand grab his gut and he was held still. He didn't understand how his hand could get there. He looked down to see the shady man's hand hadn't moved at all. He was still standing still, with his arms deep his pockets. His head now turned toward him. The bright glare and bright smiling seeming to pierce his soul.

His eyes had met the eyes of the villainess figure. Both his eyes staring directly at the others. This is the moment that changed who he was. Not that it changed him. It's that it wasn't him anymore. He thought he was looking at the creepy figure. But now he was looking at himself. He noticed he was looking at himself from the eyes of that creepy man. He was stuck without control looking at his own body. He couldn't even fight it. There was nothing to fight. This man had taken control of his body entirely. Alex felt a connection to his body, but only that of pulling a string. He felt the isolation of being stuck in this monster's mind. There were no thoughts but his own. If there was time to have anxiety and fear it would be now, yet he didn't.

The man had Alex's body march. The shadowy figure followed behind from a distance. Until he found a woman sitting on a bench. The woman was weak and probably didn't have much but he still decided to use my body for that. He had me wrap my arms around the woman's throat from behind. It was my voice, but the whisper from his mouth, "give me your purse or your throat is sliced." The woman complied, "take it, just leave my life." The man said through my body again, "Look behind you at the dark figures eyes, then you can leave..."

She looked at the dark figures eyes. Alex could immediately tell. She was frozen. The scared face had become blank. Her emotion had been taken from her. Alex knew that it had happen to her too. He had taken her body as well. Now an injustice had happened twice. This isn't what did it for Alex, but he was growing concerned. He thought to himself. This man having so much power goes after the weak. He was hurting because he knew he was too weak in this situation, and that the woman was even weaker. But this is where he decided to act. He took his small string of a connection and yanked on it. He saw his body vibrate and felt the connection grow.

The man didn't seem to notice but what if he had. In Alex's past he'd tried being bold and giving it his all to get out of a situation with some sketchy guys. But he never remembered that ending well. It mainly ended him getting the crap beaten out of him. So he thought, maybe I can pull while he's not looking. I don't think he can feel my body. Maybe I can build the connection for a while and when the time is right, use my body like a hand puppet to fight back.
