"It's not as easy as it seems, do you really think you can handle the industry?"

Aaliyah was tired of hearing these words constantly from everyone around her. A little support from her family and friends was seemingly impossible, and it appeared as if she only had the encouragement of herself.

She knew she could do this, she has what it would take and she would succeed.

For now, however, she was stuck with her part time job at a gas station, not the worst of all jobs but definitely worlds apart from where she wanted and needed to be at this stage of her life.
The calm silence of the station was broken by the sound of bellowing laughter and heavy footsteps. Looking up from the boring magazine she had resorted to reading for time pass she was met with the sight of a group of men walking up to the counter where she was situated.

At the sudden intrusion, Aaliyah began to feel conscious and attempted to fix her hair quickly and as discreet as possible. The last thing she needed was to be noticed in the act and teased for it.

Upon looking their way again she met eyes with a certain somebody she wasn't expecting to see so soon after last weeks concert . Her eyes widened but she quickly recovered and diverted her gaze to distract from the awkward situation.

"Yo pac, it's on me" said one of the unknown males as he finally the counter where Aaliyah
was.
He handed Aaliyah the money and barley spoke, only telling of which gas pump he was paying for.
He then walked away towards the small section of food and drink.
His spot was replaced by Tupac, who had now walked up with a pack of gum paired with a smirk on his face.

" we meet again" he said, still smirking

Now Aaliyah wasn't passive or completely but she wasn't the most outgoing and would often find it hard to communicate with strangers, this wasn't a stranger but somehow even worse, not only was a celebrity speaking to her, but he also remembered her which blow Aaliyah's mind.

"indeed" replied Aaliyah with a small smile while cashing up his gum.

"Hmm, it was nice catching you again love" he said accompanied by a wink as he exited the store

Aaliyah dropped her head in her hands and couldn't help but let herself break into a wide, bashful smile. She knew he probably acted like this with all females but yet like all the others she couldn't help but feel affected by it.

She realised that her shift was over when her co-worker who taking over entered the shop and interrupted her impromptu singing session.

"Don't let me stop you girl, with a voice like that what are you doing working here" her coworker said while clapping.

"That's what I wanna know" replied Aaliyah and laughed , her co-worker joining in.

It was then Aaliyah decided she was more than ready for the music industry; to be known, to be noticed, she just hoped the industry was ready for her.

A/N: the cringe never stops. Also I Randomly remember this account and story and remembered that I was supposed to post old chapters (and maybe carry it on but clearly I cannot write nor do i even know where this is going)
