A Winter Love Story

Winter Break

In the city of Billings in Montana a city with lots of mountains and valleys and rivers, in a majestic mansion and inside a huge bedroom is a boy hastily shoving clothes and shoes into a suitcase. He zips up the suitcase, tidies his hair, lifts the bag and runs downstairs. ' Curse these hundred steps! ' cursed he under his breath.
There stood a woman near the door, her hands folded and her face fuming, she was his mother.
" Kevin what were you doing? You have a flight in an hour and you're still here doing God knows what. If you miss this flight you'll see the best of me. " she says.
" Calm down mom calm down. I'm sorry. Just some last moment talk with Michael. Has the car come? " he asks.
" Everyone and everything is ready except for you. Now come give your mother a kiss and hurry. " she says opening up her arms.
He gives her a quick hug and a kiss on the cheek. She smiles and waves a goodbye as he sits in the car . The driver drives quickly to the airport.
After doing all the formalities and checkups he finally sits inside the airplane. He was going to Alberta, Canada to his aunt's house.
So this is Kevin Grace.
Kevin is a 19 year old boy who is studying architecture. He lives with his mother. His father died when he was 10.

He put on his headphones and leaned his head behind and closes his eyes.

Now we go to Calgary in Alberta, Canada in a sweet little house with a beautiful garden and on the doorstep stood three people with suitcases.
" Are you sure Amelia that you don't want to come with us but stay at Austin's house? " asks a middle aged lady.
A young girl who was patting a medium sized golden retriever stood up and turned around and smiled.
" Yes mom I'm quite sure about my decision. Now don't worry so much. Come on or you'll get late for your flight. " she says. She picks up her suitcase as a black Mercedes Benz stopped in front of their gate.
She smiles and motions her dog to follow her . She gives her parents a kiss and waves a bye.
A young handsome boy gets out and leans onto the car and smirks.
He takes the bag from Amelia and puts in the dickey , pats the dog and opens the back door as the dog jumps onto the seat inside and then he closes the door.
He opens the door for the girl next.
" Here you go princess! " he says motioning her to sit and she rolls her eyes. He closes the door and go the driver's door. He looks at the girl's father and salutes with a smirk and sits inside.
So this is Austin Grey. A sassy naughty boy. He's never really serious about anything.
And the one beside him is Amelia Stone. Amelia is a sweet, curious and happy girl. Her parents are going to Ontario for some work, Amelia too was going to go with them but Austin insisted that she spend the winter with him and his parents . He did not want to stay away from his best friend the entire winter and Christmas ofcourse.
" So when are you parents leaving? " he asks Amelia.
" Oh they were just going to leave but were waiting for you. " she says and he nods.
Soon he pulled into the house parking. They got out and Amelia opened the door for her dog to come out.
" Come on Sandy! " shouts Amelia and the dog jumps out.
Austin removes the bag from the back and then they go inside the house. His house was not as big as Kevin 's but it was quite large. It had an indoor swimming pool and a garden.
There waiting at the door was a beautiful middle aged woman who is Austin's mother - Samantha Grey.
She welcomed them with a small smile and picked up the dog kissing him and then let him down as he ran inside.
She gave Amelia a hug and smiled .
"Come Amelia come
Your room is all ready. I've specially got it cleaned for you cause I wanted you to have your best time here and not miss your parents. " she says laughing and Amelia nods.
Austin takes her to her room which was upstairs and right next to his. He kept the bag inside .
Whenever Amelia came to Austin's house for a sleepover she would sleep in his room but now she had her own room in this palace like house. It was really exciting for her .
" So do you like the room? " he asks as she looked around in hidden awe.
" Ofcourse I do. It's beautiful. " she says smiling.
" And plus it's right next to mine! " he chimes and they laugh.
