for all the girls out there who have given all
and have known to only receive little
to every person who has been taught to feel like
they should work for someone else's love
to you i say
it is not the truth
that is not all love is (not in the least bit)
no matter what your past has showed you
regardless of what people tell you
there are people out there that would be willing to love you
with just as much love (maybe even more) as you have
and you will never have to ask for it again
as cliche as it may sound,
good things do take time.
