Turn 18 - Ocean Queen vs the Red-Eyed Duellist part 1

Yushida and ryuoko were now starting their duel, ryuoko kurohime a teacher and former champion known as the ocean queen challenging yushida Ichihara, the student of this teacher and a relatively new player to the game of duel monsters. In the eyes of some the likely outcome is that yushida would lose but so far up until now yushida has overcome the challenges of several opponents and shown himself to be a fairly skilled duellist...but has he finally met his match against the great ocean queen ryuoko kurohime?

Turn 1(Ryuoko)

Ryuoko drew her card, she held 6 cards in hand. "I'll start off our duel by discarding warrior of Atlantis to add legendary ocean from my deck to my hand!" Ryuoko added the card to her hand. "Now I'll play it!" Ryuoko placed the card in her duel disk and as she did all around them buildings began to rise, these buildings looked thousands of years' old, the water begin to rise rapidly.

"W-whats happening!?" Yushida looked down at the ground to see the water rising until it was above his head and eventually above even the buildings that surrounded them. The two duellists were now stood at the bottom of what looked like ancient Atlantis, they could see the sun at the top of the water but it was a bright orange signifying it was setting, there were many various kinds of fish swimming all around them ranging from real fish like clown fish and flounder all the way to even sharks. "wow..." Yushida muttered to himself looking at the scenery created by ryuoko's field spell.

"Now I'll play the mighty gagagigo!" Ryuoko placed the card on her duel disk and before her appeared a somewhat reptilian monster, he had green scaled and sharp claws yet he stood upright like a normal person, showing he had a set of light yellow wrist and shin guards on. (Gagagigo – LV3/ATK1850/DEF1000) "Due to my legendary ocean spell card all water monsters in my hand and on the field not only gain 200 attack and defence but also have their levels reduced by 1! This means that my higher level monsters will also be far easier to summon!" (Gagagigo ATK 1850 – 2050/DEF1000 – 1200)

"great...not even my turn and I'm already behind by a fair amount..." Yushida groaned and looked at ryuoko.

"Now I'll play the spell card ice mirror! This lets me target 1 level 3 or lower water monster I control and summon a monster with the same name from my deck...so here comes another gagagigo!" Ruoko placed the card on her field and now she had 2 gagagigo's facing down yushida. "But I'm not done yet...now I'll banish warrior of atlantis from my graveyard so I can special summon aqua spirit!" what appeared to be a young woman appeared before ryuoko, she had pale green skin and a light blue dress with dark blue hair, she was holding an orb of water in her hands. (Aqua spirit – LV3/ATK1600/DEF1200) "and just like my pair of gagagigo's she too gets the power boost!" (Aqua spirit ATK 1600 – 1800/DEF1200 – 1400) "Now I'll set these 2 cards and end my turn!" Ryuoko set her last 2 cards and ended her turn.

as soon as ryuoko ended her turn Rebecca, ron and robby all appeared.

"we're too late!!" Rebecca cried out as she saw the ryuoko and yushida had started their duel.

"look at that field..." Robby muttered. "Unless yushida can stave off those monsters attacks he'll lose before he's had a chance to begin..."

ron watched the duel going on. "she's the great ocean queen...her skills a far cry from max's skills...I wonder if yushida has what it takes to do this?"

"I draw!" Yushida drew his card, now holding 6 cards in hand.

"I activate my trap power balance!" ryuoko's card flipped face up. "This card makes you discard half the cards in your hand and then I draw as many cards as you discarded!"
