"So how are you?"

You asked him breaking the silence that was enveloping the atmosphere around you both inside the coffee shop you accidentally meet.

"Uh...good, you?"

"I'm doing fine, been busy this past months preparing for a wedding."

He looked up at you surprised visible on his face, he opens his mouth only to close it again words not leaving from them.

"It's my job." You added as he muttered a silent "oh" in response, you saw his features relax a bit at your statement.

"Whose wedding are you planning?"

"Taehyung's" you answered and again you saw surprise in his eyes. "He didn't tell you?"

"No he didn't. I think he's still mad at me I understand him though, what I did was unforgivable." He answered a frown starting to form on his face as he took his cup of coffee and took a sip.

There was silence again but this time it wasn't tense anymore.

You started staring at the window and outside where the streetlight started to light the city. It was getting dark and it looks like it's going to rain, you heaved a sigh as you looked back at Hoseok who you caught off guard as he stares at you.

Both of you didn't break eye contact you just stared at each other in awe as you both scan each others feature. It's been 10 years, 10 years has passed but he's still the same sunshine that he is, handsome as ever, and has this bright and comforting presence.

Hoseok reached out to both of your hand that was cupping the coffee cup, enveloping it with warmth because your coffee was long gone cold. Only to see something he didn't noticed earlier.

"What?"

You asked as you stare at his hand on yours, you smiled sadly remembering something as the ring on your ring finger shined.

A gentle reminder that he will just remain as the one that got away.

"I hope you're happy and I'm sorry." Hoseok muttered his voice low if you weren't listening you might missed what he just said.

You untangle both of your hands from the coffee cup and held his, you saw him stared at your wedding ring regret and pain visible in his eyes.

"I am happy..." you held his cheeks to make him look at you. "Hoseok-ah it's been 10 years, I already forgave you. Please it's time for you to be happy too." A tear escaped from his eyes as your thumb wiped it away.

You stayed there for a while as he silently cried as the rain poured slowly outside, not yet letting go of his hands.
