The sky was dark, the stars twinkling in the moon light. I groaned, because soon the sun would rise. I loved the night, it was so peaceful. Every pony was asleep, the air was cool, what could be better.
I stood up, looking out of the cave I've called home ever since I was banished. I had been twelve, celebrating with my twin, Dawn.
I walked into the maze of tunnels, finding my seeing mirror. In it I saw Dawn with Princess Celestia, our big sister, bringing the morning.
"Dusk." I was startled, and I erased the image from the glass. I looked over my shoulder to see Discord, a part-lion, eagle, monster thing.
"Dusk, it's time too make our way to the castle." He said.
"Yes, yes it is. I'll be ready in a moment."
I watched him disappear. Ever since I left I had worked with him. He wanted to take over Equestria, and I wanted to get rid of Dawn.
I little while later, near evening, we arrived at the castle. We made our way undetected to the tower that consisted of Dawn's room at the top. Luna had come in the room, and was talking to her. I waited for her to leave, hovering above the door, while Discord made himself invisible.
Luna left, and I crept in the room. The moon was up, casting shadows across the room, dancing over me. Dawn turned, looking in my direction. I pounced, and she blacked out.
