"One taro and one mocha boba?"
"That's us." I walked up to the counter and grabbed my taro, handing Juniper her mocha and smiling a goodbye at the lady behind to counter. Juniper and I walked out of the cute little boba tea and crepe place, enjoying ourselves as we chewed on our tapioca.
"Where to next, Joo?" Asked Juniper as we walked in a random direction down the vast and well lit mall corridor.
"Uh... Well, the movie starts at 5:15, right? What time is it?" I asked rhetorically as I checked my phone, "Oh, we still have about a half hour before we should start heading over to the theatres... You want to go in there?" I nodded my head toward the Sephora we had just passed.
"Sure."
We made our way through the glossy aisles, Juniper commenting about her need to replenish her mascara supply. She went to the mascara section while I found my way to the lipsticks, swatching ones that caught my eye on my forearm. Hm, this peachy one is cute... How much... $13.99... damn, that's actually decent... I laughed to myself. To think I actually found something affordable in a Sephora...
I walked over to the counter, purchasing the lipstick. I had just begun to try to relocate Juniper when a mass of movement at the entrance attracted my attention. A large group of boys had just arrived in the make up store, all looking about my age and of Asian decent. I could also tell from across the shop that that they were all more than decent looking. Don't go falling in love now... I rolled my eyes to myself. I had always been someone irritatingly prone to crushing on strangers. You have to admit, though, guys being openly interested in make up is pretty hot... Especially showing up and agreeing to come in a big group like that... That's some serious big dick energy right there.
I noticed that I'd probably been staring, and for way too long, so I quickly busied myself in finding Juniper again.
I found her, but she was still sampling, so I occupied myself with mirror on the end of the aisle near her. I was applying my new lipstick carefully when I noticed one of the boys stop on the left side of the aisle to me, looking through some eyeshadow selections. I let my eyes wander sneakily to his figure and face and I felt my cheeks heat immediately. That is one of the most gorgeous human beings I have ever seen.
He looked Korean, and his skin glowed in a way that seemed almost unnatural. His hair was dark brown to match his eyes, and was styled into a undercut that went very well with his head shape, and his bangs hung over his eyes nicely. He was wearing a black hoodie that looked very comfortable , and a pair of torn skinny jeans and black Chuck Taylor's. Oh no, he's wearing earrings. I blushed to myself, as I found guys with earrings exceptionally hot. He's just hitting all of the sweet spots, isn't he? He had his lips puckered in a thoughtful way as he picked up a palette, his other hand in his pocket.
Oh shit, you've definitely been staring for way too long now. I finished applying my lipstick and walked, head down, back to Juniper.

"Hey, are you almost done, Nip?"

"Mmm," Juniper turned around holding two bottles of mascara in either hand, "Which one should I get? They're both good but I just need you to pick for me."

"What, just based on packaging?" Juniper nodded.

"Uh... I like the purple one."

"Okay, let's go." She purchased the make up and we walked out of the store, but not before I gave one last glance at him, who was now walking toward the counter with a chosen eyeshadow palette. He looked towards us and we made eye contact for a second, and he seemed to give me a sly smile. Oh shit oh shit oh no oh gosh oh no oh this is the end I'm dying oh shit. I looked away so quickly I ran into Juniper, who gave a yelp and my face reddened even more.

"So-sorry." A stutter? Really? My god fuck me with a chainsaw. We walked to the escalator up to the theatres, when Juniper suddenly broke into a mischievous grin.

"So..." I quietly sipped on my boba as her voice trailed off, anticipating the question to come and thinking of various answers. "What was that about?"

"What're you talking about," I decided to say, chewing on some tapioca. Juniper rolled her eyes. I shouldn't like him, I don't even know his name. Ugh, I hope this crush doesn't stay. But even as I this went through my mind, my cheeks were still hot and my heart hadn't returned to it's normal rate.

"Fine, be that way." She shook her head and lead the way to the theatre. We got buttered popcorn and a Coke-Dr. Pepper suicide and walked into the movie.

We walked out of the theatre chatting excitedly about the latest after credit scene when I trailed off. Shit. Again? I had spotted the group of Asian boys in the middle of the corridor. I scanned the faces to see if he was there, and sure enough I saw him with his perfect jaw and short stature. A nudge in the ribs made me jump.

"Ask him out."

"What?! I don't know him..."

"Nooo... Really?! Nevermind then, I'm sorry I brought up such a ridiculous prospect," Juniper gave me the look that usually accompanied her sarcastic comments, "How are you supposed to get to know someone if all you do is pine for them across a mall? Joo, you know I respect your choices on who-"

"Okay, okay, damn, I'll ask, just don't give me the whole 'stop being a lonely bitch' spiel."

I inhaled deeply, gathering my courage and thinking of what to say. Oh shit. Fuck, there's so many of them... Just say as little as possible so you don't stutter or look stupid. Oh god please don't stutter. I took another breath and gave Juniper a "hope you're happy" look before approaching the group of boys. As I drew nearer their conversation seemed to die off, and they looked at me with curious eyes. The boy I was looking for had been talking to a shorter boy who looked very graceful even as he stood, but now that he was making eye contact with me, my heart seemed to do a flip.

"Um, hey," UM! Really? "I was wondering if I could have your number?" I had said all of this a little too quickly, and just hoped he had heard me. He gave me a shocked look, as if he hadn't realized I had been talking to him until a second ago.

"Uh, yeah, sure," I resisted the urge to shiver at the sound of his voice. Fuck that's hot. I swiftly pulled my phone out of my back pocket and handed it to him. I was all too aware of the six pairs of eyes staring at me as he punched in the digits. He handed it make me to me and looked at the contact. Yoongi. I like that.

"Yoongi?"

"Min Yoongi, yeah. You?"

"Jeon Minjoo."

"Oh hey, Jungkook over here is a Jeon, too," The boy he pointed at gave a small wave and smiled. "Actually, here," Yoongi's mouth curled into the same sly smile that I had seen in Sephora as he pulled out his phone and offered it to me, "Can I have your number as well?" I grinned and put it in. This is going well. I handed him his phone back and blushed.

"Well, thanks. I'll talk to you later?"

He smiled a gummy smile that gave me goosebumps.

"Certainly."

。。。

What's up fuckers, I hope you enjoyed that. Ugh, there are so many simple sentences it's making everything sound choppy and I don't know how to fix it. I would greatly appreciate it if you all gave me critiques and advice, as I'm new to writing. I'll probably do a part II, but I also procrastinate a lot so if you all want one it would help if you told me😚💕. Thanks for reading, love you guys, bye ❤.
