Yu-Gi-Oh! - Red Eyed Duellist

Turn 20 - Preparation day

The following day yushida awoke in his room at the academy around half 10 in the morning. After an early morning and a late night, he slept in longer than he originally intended to. Hideo was already up and out of the room and so yushida assumed everyone else was already going about their business. After getting dressed and putting on his bag with his duel disk and deck box inside her departed from the room and the academy in general. The qualifier round of the tournament was over and the quarter finals would begin tomorrow...so today was a day of rest for the players who had progressed to the next round. Yushida's progress as a duellist was astounding and his recent victories are a sign of that. His victories over plays like max and hiro were impressive but for him to defeat Ryuoko whom was a former champion was truly a testament to how much he has grown thus far. However, he still needed to improve as while he beat some really strong duellists up until now he was sure things would only get harder from that point on.

Yushida was now walking down the streets of kumoto city. He looked at his backpack and thought about his deck. "hmm...I think I should stop by the hobby shop and pick up some packs...my deck needs a booster and this is the perfect excuse to get some new stuff." Yushida walked along the streets for a few minutes until he was in the street as hayato games. "W-whoa!"

hayato games was absolutely crowded, there were dozens of people stood outside of the little store all entering the store empty handed and leaving with various kinds of merchandise ranging from just simple duel monsters packs and starter decks all the way to duel disks. Gemba walked out of the store after dealing with a group of customers. "Thank you and come again any time!" The elderly man smiled warmly and then noticed yushida. "Yushida!" He walked over to him. "How have you been??"

"I've been pretty good actually mister hayato!" yushida smirked. "I see business is booming."

"Why yes it is! After you and hideo got to the quarter finals my little shops been having customers swarming in! Because they know you bought your stuff from here!" Gemba smiled and walked with yushida.

"if not for you and hideo I would have never even started duelling...and I've come all this way...so I have you to thank for that." Yushida smiled and looked at gemba.

Gemba chuckled in response to yushida's comment. "Oh my silly boy...we just introduced you to the game...you're the one who's improved your skills by duelling." Gemba stated. "So how can I help you today?"

"I was wondering if I could buy some new packs." Yushida smiled as he spoke and took out his wallet.

Gemba smiled and then brought yushida to the front of the store's counter. "I'd be happy to give you some." Gemba put down 3 'shadows of chaos' duel monster's booster packs. "it's okay yushida they are on the house!"

"n-no no I couldn't possibly take them for free!" Yushida stammered slightly and looked at gemba.

Gemba smiled warmly and pushed the packs over to him gently. "Because of you, hideo and your other friends my little shop has gained much more business than it has in the past few years...you've warmed this old man's heart and made his day just by being here." Gemba replied and kept smiling.

Yushida looked at gemba and then he smiled and took the packs. "Thank you mister hayato...I promise I'll always come here for new duel monster's cards." He opened the packs slowly and looked at the contents of these packs. "ooooo new dark monster support.

"I know your deck runs on dark monsters so I figured you'd probably need all the help you can get for it." He grinned.

yushida looked through the various packs. He gained cards such as dark crusader, return of darkness and a few others. "whoa...red-eyes wyvern? That should surely help my deck." Yushida continued to walk and he then saw robby and izuna up ahead. "hey guys."
