yuni's pov

Without me knowing I spat out, "I like you too Jisung". I realized what I said and covered my mouth but Jisung shot his eyes open and a smile formed on his face. "You like me?" he raised an eyebrow while smirking. "N..no I only like you as a friend." The happiness in his eyes faded as soon as I said that. "Oh.... it's fine." he turned around and headed for the door. I felt guilty and ran to him grabbing his wrist to turn around to face me. I mastered up all my courage and took a deep breath. "I was just joking. I like you too, more than a friend."

As soon as I said the last sentence, I was engulfed into a hug and my nostrils was filled with the familiar smell of Jisung since young. I miss this smell,this feeling and him. We stayed in that position until we pulled away. What Jisung said next made me even more happy than I already was. "Would you be my girlfriend?" I nodded vigorously but I came to a stop when I realized something. "What about Jaemin oppa, he will be very angry if he finds out."I looked at him worriedly. "He doesn't need to find out we can keep it a secret." he said acting like he was zipping his mouth and throwing the key away.

~during dinner~

I sat beside Jisung and we were eating until I felt a tap on my thighs. It came from my right which was Jisung. He was signalling me to hold his hands and I looked around before intertwining my fingers with his. I ate my dinner happily until I heard someone asked me. "What's up with you today, you were spacing out during lunch and now you are happy? Did something happen?" Doyoung asked. "I am just happy that I get to eat my favourite food, spaghetti." I smiled. It was true my favourite food was spaghetti but that was not the only reason.

After dinner, I wanted to take a walk when Vernon decided to join me. While we were walking, Vernon cut the awkward atmosphere with a question, "so what's your answer?" I stopped in my tracks. I slowly turned to him and said, "I like you too but only as a friend and nothing more. I am sorry but I know you will find someone better than me." I felt bad and didn't wanna face him so I excused myself that it was getting cold and went inside. Before I took a step, he spoke up, "It is okay. I actually expected that you only liked me as a friend. It's already obvious that you like Jisung more than a friend." I went into the house without turning back, leaving him there.

vernon's pov

"It is okay, I actually expected that you only liked me as a friend. It's already obvious that you like Jisung more than a friend." Every word that came out of my mouth felt like needles piercing through my heart. She left me there without even turning back to me. I just got friend-zoned.

"Vernon? What are you doing here? It's getting cold why don't you go inside?" A familiar voice came from behind me. It was Xiaojun. "I am just taking a stroll, how about you?" I questioned him. "Oh I went to the convenience store to get an ice cream." he then showed the choco mint container that he was eating out of.

I couldn't take it anymore. "I just got rejected by Yuni." I blurted out and sighed while taking a seat on the nearest bench. "Oh that must've hurt." Xiaojun took the seat beside me. "It did hurt but I decided to put those feelings aside and let Yuni go." I looked down at my shoes. Xiaojun patted my back reassuring me that everything will go well.

yuni's pov

I realized that all the lights were off in the house. Maybe they are all sleeping I thought as I slowly tip-toed to my room but even before I took a step, the lights to the living room turned on, there stood......
