You were nothing but an experiment. A replacement. A guinea-pig. Not only were you unwanted, unneeded and a failure now, but you were also cold, soulless and a monster. Or at least that's how you thought of yourself.

You were a monster but a victim no less. A victim at the ruthless, evil hands of an abomination. An organisation obsessed and set on taking over the world. World domination. They said you would make the word a better place. But you felt as though you ruined it. Corrupted it.

Despite their many failed attempts it didn't stop them from abducting you, enslaving you and torturing you until they saw fit. They wanted a soldier and would stop at nothing to accomplish their mission. Achieving perfection. Even if it meant wiping your memory. Ripping you limb from limb. Or continuously beating you into submission.

You were once innocent. A pure 20 year old living in New York aspiring to be a karate instructor. You assume that that's why you were taken. A healthy, young fighter. Capable of surviving torture. Capable of surviving the amputation of both arms. Only to be replaced by metal prosthetics. Vibranium they had called it. Strong. Able to withstand tampering and experimentation.

6 years of captivity. 6 years of misery. 6 years of mind manipulation and control. All without the recollection of the sweet, caring person you once were. Your past self was truly gone. With no chance of return. You wished your past self was more self aware. That you hadn't been so careless walking home that night. All you knew was that it was a Thursday night when you were abducted walking back home after working at the karate studio which you oh so adored. Now you were a murderer. All you can hope for now is redemption.

You killed with no remorse or regret. You couldn't help it. You weren't allowed feelings in the organisation, not that you completely understood what they were. And if you didn't do what was asked of you, if you didn't kill the ones you saw as innocent, they would just send someone else, and torture you later.

When you first had your memory wiped you knew of only one thing.

This is not all you've had.

By that you meant you knew you once had a life. Despite not knowing details you assumed you probably had a family. Friends. You knew you wouldn't sign up for this willingly. No one in their right mind would. You could only hope your past self wasn't insane. Because now came the chance you could only hope for. A chance of escape. To leave the wretched life you lead. And you could only hope that someone out there knew and would want your tortured soul.

Freedom was the one thing you longed for in your endless torment. Your isolation. Your loneliness. Your empty pit of despair. For the first time in 6 years, it seems that god has heard your begging. He had finally granted you some good fortune.

The facility in which you resided in for as long as you could remember was under attack by 'the avengers'. Or at least that's what you heard from the guards hushed talking outside of your cell.

Suddenly Rumlow ran into the room. "Soldier?" He asks his accent thick. He had laboured breaths and what you believed to be a look of hope in his eyes.

'The silver exterminator' as they called you was brought forward with the single words from the grey book Rumlow seemed to always carry with him. 'Safe keeping' you assumed.

* Longing- because of your 'longing' for escape.
* Starve- for the hunger you have to constantly withstand
* Twelfth- because of the year they 'recruited' you -2012
* Nightfall- because they 'recruited' you at night
* Mentor- because you were somewhat of a mentor being a karate instructor
* Six- because of the amount of years you have been 'recruited' you for
* Benign- to have some link with the winter soldier
* Reside- because you do not live within the facility, you simply reside there as your life is not worth 'living'
* Twenty- because of how old you were when they 'recruited' you
* Double- because you have two metal arms and the winter soldier has one. They also believe you to be twice as good/ better than him.

As he read the words from the book you thrashed around in pain but it eventually subsided. "Soldier?" He asks once again.
"готов соблюдать" you replied as
The silver exterminator took over.
