Autumn Evans was a brown-haired girl that had a dream. Her story starts at sixteen years old in 10th grade. She lived in Arizona. The city isnt important. She was in her last period of the day, Social Studies. The room was warm from all the bodies coming in and out of the medium sized classroom. Her face was slightly damp with sweat from the room temperature. She was a medium sized girl not too over-weight, but not skinny either. Her family included a mother, her father left when she was young. She didn't care much of her father she "knew" she was better without him. Her mother had talked little bits and pieces of her father, in her mind he was nothing. She was ripped out of thought as the last bell of the day rung. Her brother picked her up. Jeremy Evans, was also just a normal boy, he was 18 years old. He didnt do much around the house, but he was fun to be around. When Autumn got home she took a shower, did her homework, ate dinner and went to bed.

She was Dreaming when her life changed. She woke up and looked at the clock, beside her bed. It was 8:00 a.m., two hours after her school started so she would be late to school. It was weird for her since she'd never been late to school, since her mom usually woke her up. She got up and yawned, while putting on her clothes. She checked in her mom's room to see if she was alright. She found that she wasn't in her room, she checked everywhere, she found neither her mom, nor her brother. She checked outside, but again found nothing. She checked on one of the counters and found a long note. She couldn't see very well since it was still dark, so she went into her room. She turned the light on, and silently read the note.

          "Dear Autumn Evans,

Please call this number after your have read this letter,

(XXX) XXX- XXX

This letter is from your father, Jack Evans

I've tooken your mother and brother, I didn't feel like waking you so I thought I would bring you to the location later. As you might know I work for the CIA, and if your mother told you otherwise, then you just found out now. Everything your mother has told you about me is most likely a lie. She's been lieing to protect your relationship with me. I forgive her I'm not mad, I just had to take this job to protect everything important to me. So please call this number and I will come pick you up."

Autumn reacted calmly and somehow felt like this wasn't a trick. She did hesitate to call the number but eventually gave in. She picked up the phone and slowly dialed the number an waited for someone to pick up. One ring was all it took for the conversation to begin.

"Are you ready" said a calm, unfamiliar voice. A soft hum of a yes escaped Autumn's mouth. "I'll have someone pick you up" said the voice echoing in the phone. She took her favorite thing and put them in her backpack. Her backpack was a light pink color, with slightly faded multicolored stars on it. She took an old teddy bear she had when she was little, and a diary, never written in. She was ready for "anything".

Once she heard that doorbell ring, she slowly turned the knob of the old, grey door. There stood a tall, browned eyed man, with a suit and tie. For a few awkward seconds they stared at each other. The man nodded and led Autumn to the black SUV. She opened the car door to two other men wearing suits, looked curiously at her. She sat and grabbed her empty diary.

          "Entry #1,

Something strange happened today, though I haven't spoken a word to the strange men I feel safe in their company. They feel familiar in a way. They haven't spoken a word either. They probably think I'm a mute. I feel somewhat of a mute anyway. Maybe I might stay like this for awhile, until I figure out what's going on.

Sincerely,

Autumn Evans"

Finally they had met there location. A man stood outside. That man was her obviously her father due to the resemblance. Her mothers little comments of her father rang in her head. Tears ran down her face as the men helped her get out of the SUV. Her father walked over to his daughter. He gave her a long, tight hug.

She wondered why her thoughts had change about her father. Other than pulling away, she embraced his hug. He was warm and smelled like the ocean. They both pulled away from the embrace, taking it in and then letting it out. She wiped away her lukewarm tears, leaving a damp spot on her soft pink sweater that her mother sewed up. She looked at her father and smiled as there eyes met. She knew right then and there her family would change forever.
