"WE NEED YOU TO PERFORM A DANCE." Allie blurted out to Charlotte as the Chinese girl stuffed her face with a slice of pizza with one hand, while the other held the pizza box.
Charlotte sat in between her two best friends, Miles and Kyla, as they ate away in boredom while waiting for the play to start. Beside Kyla was the aisle to walk up and down from and beside Miles was Charlotte's other best friends, Valerie and Xavier. Down the row, beside Xavier, was a few of the football players on the school's team; Jason, Clark, and Grizz.
Charlotte looked up at Allie with her cheeks stuffed, "What?"
"A few of the members from the play are nowhere to be found and we need to keep the audience entertained while we find the rest of the cast." Allie explained, looking straight at Charlotte.
Miles glanced at Allie, "Who's missing?"
Allie briefly looked at him, "Harry and Kelly."
Valerie snorted as she reached her hand into the large bag of chips in her arms. "I bet they're fucking, like they always do."
Xavier held back a snort as Charlotte playfully rolled her eyes at Valerie's comment. She then looked at Allie, "Why me?"
"Because everyone knows that you and your crew are the best, and only dancers in town. Can you guys put something together right now?" Allie asked, a bit impatient yet eager.
Charlotte glanced at Kyla, Valerie, and Xavier. The four made their own little dance group just last year. Charlotte was the one to create the idea of dancing together as a group, for fun, and her three friends were the only ones in town that had the strong interest in hip hop, so the group only consisted of the four of them. Charlotte grew even closer with them and they all became best friends, including Miles who couldn't dance to save his life. He liked to call himself the 'manager' of the group.
Kyla raised an eyebrow at Allie, "A hip hop performance as an opening act for a play that takes place in the olden days? That's weird."
"Please? You guys always talk about wanting to perform in front of a large audience and this is your chance to show off your skills!"
Xavier, Kyla, and Valerie looked at Charlotte who stayed quiet for a moment. Then, she suddenly grinned. "We're messing with ya, Allie, of course we'll perform!"
Charlotte closed her box of pizza and reached over to Jason who was next to Xavier. "Hey, can you hold my pizza for me?" Jason chuckled and nodded, grabbing the box.
"Can we have some?" Clark asked, leaning forward to look at Charlotte. Charlotte glanced over at him and caught Grizz's eyes who was silently watching her. She grinned, "Knock yourself out, boys,"
Charlotte stood up and clapped her hands, "Okay my dudes, let's show this town what we're capable of!"

"Before the play starts, we have an opening act for tonight." Allie started, smiling awkwardly at the crowd. "This is a dance group that was formed recently, and they consist of four extremely talented individuals that mainly focus on hiphop. If you guys enjoy their performance tonight, we hope to have them perform for more events. Anyway, let's give a round of applause for Charlotte Wang, Kyla Smith, Xavier Johnson, and Valerie Wales!"
The four friends came jogging onto the stage with wide grins. They were nervous, they had to admit, but they felt a sense of excitement rush through them once they stepped onto that stage.
Charlotte suggested that they perform a choreography she created recently, the one that they've been practicing for fun lately. So, they danced their hardest while having fun, as if they were in their own little world.
