"Sir," a woman in black dress clothes said to a dark shadow," someone's done it. They completed it." The figure was silent for a moment then started laughing. It waved its had at the woman and she nodded back in response. She tucked her brown hair behind her ear as she took out a copper key. It glimmered in the dim light as the woman put the key in the rusted lock. There was no noise, no breathing, no other thought but what would happen after the key was turned.

I laid my head down on my pillow, my breath shaking. Any minute now I was going to acend to the sky above me. In other words, I am about to die. Looking back on how uneventful my life was I had wish there was something else I could have done, but its too late now. I realized by living it that Life is like a  horribly written book. You always find it repeating itself and some of the chapters incomplete. So whats the use of living in it? There is not really. That's why people create things to escape from it. Video games, TV shows, books they are all used to take you away from reality, but what is reality really? My chest thumped in an annoying pain. I turned to my left looking out the window and smiled. Well, this is it The pain in my chest increased as I laughed. It is finished.

My eyes closed as I drew in my final breath, and darkness consumed me. I knew that after death there would be nothing but darkness, but what I saw shattered all expectations.

Above me in the darkness were two white glowing words: GAME OVER.
