My eyes filled from the bottom upwards with a bright orange red mix of color, I rubbed my eyes and yanked the blankets up over my head.
Five More Minutes I pleaded inside my head, but the alarm sounds only got louder and louder. I reached my arm over to my nightstand and pounded the "snooze" button hoping to shut the darn thing off, as my ears could not bear the blaring sound anymore. I forced myself to scoot up and rest my back against the deep oak headboard at the front of my bed, and yawned as my eyes struggled to stay open. Just then I hear fast footsteps race up the stairs, and my door swings open as a familiar face barges into my room with a look of panic on her face
"Get up!" She shouts, but it's more of a quiet shout trying not to wake anyone else up.
My eyes shoot to her direction, studying her long golden blonde hair, and her deep dark brown eyes,
"What is it now, Summer?" I sigh sounding annoyed which I am, but also intrigued at what has her so excited.
"Today's our first day of school, we get to see all of our friends and how everyone has changed over the short two months of summer!" She says.
My eyes shoot to the clock and it reads 7:02am I jump out of bed and rush to the bathroom, my heart beats, fast, as reality starts to sink in and it suddenly feels like the first day of school. I stare at my reflection through the mirror, and grasp the thin comb on the counter. I run the comb through my jet black somewhat curly hair and set it down. I look into my eyes and get distracted.
"You've had those eyes forever, Milo, one blue and one brown, yet you still distract yourself?" Summer shouts from my bedroom, I can hear her typing on her phone.
"Shut up." I snark back at her. I brush my teeth and throw on a black t-shirt and hoodie, and some dark blue jeans, along with a black belt and my black vans. Summer has on a cute pink sweater and some black leggings, and she's wearing white converses. Her Long hair hangs in a braid behind her shoulders. I've known Summer for quite a while, basically my whole life, about 13 years to be exact, as we met when we were three. I grabbed my black back pack and Summer and I rushed out to my car, we waved goodbye to my mom and left for school.
