You awoke to the sound of your alarm and sluggishly got out of bed turning the annoyance off. Everything about last night seemed like a fever dream to you. You found your texts messages with Shorter confirming that it wasn't a dream although, you wished it was. Your phone began to ring making you groan. It was Mikey.
"What do you want?" There was a bite in your voice.
"Just wanted to see how you and the little gangster was doing, can't I worry about you?"
"You gave up worrying about me when you were messing with that little girl ." You emphasized.
"She's very mature for her age she could've told me no, but she came onto me."
"So you just took that as an okay to cheat?" You scoffed.
"Y/N, you were always working you damn computer nerd."
"So that also makes it okay? And resulting to name calling? Maybe she's more mature than you are." After you said that you hung up. The universe was obviously against you recently.
Not on were you cheated on, but now a guy you were interested in was involved in a gang. Before you even found out about that you had lost all your work and had to deal with IT for the longest.
"Life..." you muttered to yourself.
Your days went on rather peacefully with minor inconveniences. You were working late once again and decided to head to the cafeteria for a change. You noticed someone standing in front of you. His hair dyed and tattoos littered both his arms.
"Care if I join you?" He smiled. You had never seen him around before.
"Uh sure, um are you new here?"
"Yeah I just started today and ended up staying a bit longer than expected. I was hoping the cafeteria was still open I skipped lunch."
"Oh well they'll be closing soon, but I can help you get something real quick. I'm really close with the workers I often stay late." You informed.
"Really! I would appreciate that so much." The newcomer exclaimed.
"What's your name? I'm Y/N,"
"Nice to meet you Y/N, the names Kane."
"Nice to meet you too. If you need anything feel free to find me anytime in the western wing on this floor."
"I'm actually in the western wing also, so I'll keep that noted." You spoke with a few friends who happened to have some extra food. You sat down with Kane and got to know a little more about him. He was an interesting guy with a dark sense of humor.
"Can I get your number?" He asked as he walked you to your car. You gave it to him and departed. As soon as you got home there was a message from him.
