What happened to everything?

Chapter 12

"You alright" Logan asked him worried and I looked at him and closed my eyes, not wanting to even be on this plane with how those three saw me at the moment. Tommy and Amelia were opposite Charles and we're making him laugh with their little puppet show

"Getting there" he said and carried on watching the kids play together and smiled at how happy they were and that's all because of their mother and everything she had done for him and them for 10 years

"Whatever happens today, I want you to promise me something. You too Lydia" he said and I opened my eyes and peeked up from behind my chair to look at him

"You both looked into my mind and you've both seen a lot of bad but you've seen the good too, the x men. Promise me you'll find us, use your power bring us together, guide us, lead us. Storm, Scott, Jean. Remember those names, there's so many of us and we all need you professors" he said snd I groaned

"Don't call me professor it makes me sound old but for him it doesn't" I complained and Logan chuckled

"You say that way too much in the future as well" Logan commented and pretend to hit my head against the wall and tommy and Amelia laughed at me and I smiled at them while Charles chuckled at me

"We will do our best" Charles answered him and Logan nodded

"Your best is enough. Trust me" Logan said and Charles looked out the window while I looked at Charles and smiled and saw that his hair was in his face again so I went onto the table in front of him and moved his tea away and then I sat on the table and leaned forward with a hair bobble on my wrist and I put the parts that were in his face and brought them back to behind his head and when it looked decent I tied the hair in place and leaned back and smiled at my work and he just looked at me and smiled at how proud I was and then I caught him staring at me

"What?" I asked while smiling and he looked at me

"Nothing. I'm just admiring the woman who has been the strongest woman I know for 10 years while being with me" he said and I looked at him and he grabbed my hand with my wedding ring on and kissed it

"I'm sorry love. I've broken you and I know so don't deny it and I am going to do whatever it takes to fix you slowly but surely" he said confidently and I wrapped my arms around his neck and I looked at those now dull blue eyes

"Charles Francis Xavier, just having you back to normal will fix me. I just need you back and that's all I'll ever want or need" I said and he leaned into kiss me but I kissed his cheek and then I got off the table and went back to my seat and he looked shocked that I didn't kiss him on the lips but I knew I wasn't completely ready to go back to that then but then he just smiled at me widely and I gave a small smile back

*future Lydia's pov*
I saw Charles look to the side and I looked at him

"They've found us" he announced and I looked outside worried as hell for tommy as I didn't want him injured or worse dead and Erik looked at him while I looked at Logan with tears in my eyes, this could be the end. This could be the last time I ever saw Charles. Erik didn't say a word and walked towards the entrance

"Erik" I called out as I ran over to him and he turned around and looked at me

"Look after tommy please for me" I asked and he nodded and went to walk away but I stopped him again

"And don't you dare even think about getting yourself hurt or killed either Erik lensherr" I said and smiled at him while he chuckled and hugged me and then walked away and I watched him go and then walked back to Charles

*past Lydia pov*
We had finally arrived to the place and I told tommy to make him and Amelia invisible but take all metal off and they did so while I held onto the back of Charles' public wheelchair and pushed him forward and we went off in the metal detector because of it and Charles sighed and I gave him a look and he nodded and I felt tommy and Amelia grab onto my play suit so that they didn't make me invisible as well and while the man with the hand held metal detector did a check over Charles' wheel chair another man asked

"Can I see your invitations please?" He asked Charles put his finger to his temple

"Yes you may these three are with me" he said to the man and he stiffened a bit and then relaxed

"Go ahead" he said and I pushed Charles forward, so glad that I changed into some ballet pumps but did have my boots in my bag if anything did go wrong today, which I hope for all our sakes that it doesn't and I wheeled Charles towards where me, Hank, Logan, tommy and Amelia can stand, Amelia and tommy in the middle of all fours of us so nothing happened and Charles in his wheelchair next to a soldier checking everybody's mind to find raven and he shook his head

"I haven't found her yet but she has to be here" he said and me Logan and hank looked at each other the I heard a faint

"Mummy" from Amelia and I kneeled down making it look like I was getting something out of my bag and i tapped my ear telling her to continue

"Will we find auntie raven?" She asked and I nodded lightly

"We will baby and hopefully she will come home" I explained and grabbed a hair bobble out of my bag and tied up my hair, now worried of what may happen within the next few minutes

"But uncle Erik still wants to kill you and her" tommy said and I looked at the air sharply

"Thomas Stanley Xavier don't you dare say that again, nothing will happen it is all sorted" I said trying to reassure them and myself

"Its really not though is it mum?" He asked though and looked at them. It's the first time that he's ever called me just mum and I looked at him shocked. I knew it was going to happen eventually but I just shows how much tommy is changing and that he acts like he may not need me anymore. I stood up, cutting off the conversation and wiped and single tear that had fell down and Logan put his hand on my shoulder and leaned into my ear

"He's like that a lot don't worry about it. He's worse in teenage years but he will figure it all out eventually and realise that he still needs you" he said reassuring me and I nodded and turned back forward
