Chicago

I woke up with my phone ringing. I checked the idea and I didn't recognize the number. I fumbled to hit the button to answer it.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Lucy? it's me Katherine." She said.

I shot up out of bed. "Katherine? Long time no see." I said.

"Yeah listen have details on Stefan and Klaus." She said.

"What are the details?" I asked.

"They are in Chicago." Katherine said.

"Stefan doesn't want to be found. I'm respecting his wish." I said about to hang up.

"No Lucy listen. He doesn't have to be there any more. The hybrids didn't work." She said.

"Yes because the other night I didn't almost get killed by one." I said sarcastically.

"There only like that for awhile then they die." She said.

"Interesting. I bet Nik lives that." I said.

"Just get Stefan out of his ripper stage he almost killed me the other night." she said.

"Okay I'll try. See you around." I said.

"One more thing. I heard Klaus talking about you. You must be pretty special to him." She said before hanging up.

She left with so many questions. 'Why the hell were they in Chicago? The last time we where there was in the 20's. Why didn't the hybrids work? And why was Nik talking about me?'

Flashback:

It was in the middle of prohibition. I was sitting beside Nik at a bar. Stefan was outside feeding on a girl.

"He hasn't been this bad for along time." I whispered to Nik.

"Don't worry I like him like this so does my sister." Nik said.

Stefan walks up to a blonde hair girl named Rebecka, Nik's sister and my friend. She kisses him approving of the blood on his lips.

End of flashback

I got dressed and was going to tell Elena the good news. I walked inside walking up the steps to her room. I knocked.

"Elena?" I asked and opened the door. Laying there was Elena asleep and Damon.

"What the hell?" I yelled.

Elena sat up and looked at Damon who also sat up. Damon just shrugged.

"I can explain." She said.

"I don't want to know." I said. "I have good new."

"What is it?" She asked.

I looked at Damon. "I got a call from a friend in Chicago. She seen Stefan." I said.

"He doesn't want to come back." Damon growled.

"There's no reason for him to be there anymore. The hybrids failed." I said.

"Then let's go." Damon said.

I was sitting in the back seat Damon was driving and Elena was in the passenger side.

"What is Stefan doing in Chicago?" Elena asked.

"Nik is getting help." I said.

Elena looked back at me. "How would you know?" She asked.
