Silver sheets of soft rain wash over the city. Everything feels vague,as if it had lost all its purpose. Close your eyes and count to 10,and all the bad emotions will be gone, mother had said. I close my eyes, hoping everything would go away.

"1...2.." My nails dig into my palm, until it carved moon shapes into the surface.

"..3.." I try to imagine Zoran's face, smiling like he always did.

"4...5....6.."

"7..8.." Inhale.

"9...." Exhale.

"10." I blink them open. The gravestone remains in front of me,silently sitting still. Upon seeing the photo of Zoran and mother placed beside the stone again,my visions blurs.

"Why....why,why,why,WHY DIDN'T I DIE INSTEAD OF THEM?!?" I scream, violently tilting my head back. "Why didn't I save them, why was I such a coward, why didn't I die,why...." I rest my face into my hands as tears stream down my face.

"Do you need some help?" A soft voice came from above. I look up with swollen eyes. There she was,a neat young girl, just sitting on top of the gravestone. The girl had golden hair that flowed to the ground,snow-white skin and feathers covering where her ears are supposed to be.

"Help? What help?! It's too late." I scowl at her with a pained expression.

She cocks her head. "Its never too late to change. I'm simply offering you a favour."

I stare at her drowsily, hardly processing anything she's saying. The girl continues, "If I offered you another chance to change your fate, would you accept it?" This is barely the time for games.

"Hell yeah." I look away,sighing.

"Will you sacrifice all that you've been through in the past and present for this fate you'd wish to achieve?"

"Cut the crap, just do me this favour,I beg of you."

Her expression stiffens. "Very well. Your wish will be granted,Eidis."
