I am the moon
covered by the clouds
obscured by refraction of light
I've got a darkness
Devil I know this
I can feel it
crawling underneath my skin
the stars and the moon
no they do not speak
silent companions
some nights I am far away
small and distant
others I am close and surreal
breathtaking and beautiful
but you Devil,
you were not just a star
but yet you are not a galaxy
you were my night sky
something dependable
something holding the moon
in its place
never faltering nor doubtful
you were something I placed faith in
and you still are
