You are one of many humans to live in harmony along with robots. You never thought of them as lesser beings. In fact, you thought of them as members of society, who should be treated with respect! Just how you'd like to be.

This mindset of yours led you to become friends with a lumber cutting robot named Cutman. He, along with five other robots, were created by Doctor Light to assist with tasks too risky for one human, or to assist with tasks to make things easier. To be honest, you never expected to become friends with Cutman. He was one of the more known robots, and you? A measly human. Just another grain of sand.

You clearly remember the day you first met him. You strayed too far into the park on your own, and he led you back. You remember being absolutely terrified of every little sound that you didn't expect. Leaves rustling, twigs cracking, and sometimes, your own heart beat. Looking back on it now, you... Thought it was kind of dumb. Scared of your own heartbeat? Ridiculous.

Coming back to recent years, you still are friends with that lumber cutting robot. In fact, you both go out of your way to see each other. Whether it be he goes over to your house and politely waits outside, or you visit him when he's usually cutting branches. Today was your day to visit him, since you both kind of take turns. He was in one of his usual working areas, where tree and plant overgrowth can get out of hand, and grow on to roadways. Upon arriving, you watched him leap up and throw his rolling cutters at some unruly tree branches, as they then cleanly fell to the ground. You applauded, which caught his attention.

He walked over to you, dusting his hands off as if he had touched anything other than his rolling cutters, all while beaming. You always thought he was somewhat of a dork, but... That's what makes Cutman— well, Cutman! "Hiya, Miss (Y/N)! That was a pretty clean cut, right?" You looked at the branches, and then the place they came from, but honestly... You didn't care all that much. But Cutman did, and you didn't like seeing him frown. "Yeah! That was pretty impressive."

You had no clue what you were talking about. You just know that agreeing with him made him really happy. His smile was just... Contagious. It was so bright, and genuine, and... Adorable.

To you, he was like... The little brother you never had!

If only you had thought more than that.
