I winced in pain but all I heard from the mystery man was snickering. He tied my arms together and then stuffed another cloth in my mouth. He threw me into the back of a truck and drove away...

This is sorta like a suspense story so you really need to pay attention to important details throughout the story. The story also gets a lot deeper as it goes on and there's not a lot of fluff.
I also feel the need to let some people know that this is not just an abusive relationship story it's more of a suspense mystery/thriller if that makes sense.
