Hey-o. I'm working on getting these out. So bear with me. Ok. So. On to the chapter.
_______________
Dakota and Peter stood outside the tower. They had agreed to go shopping together in order to get some stuff for their rooms and to get to know each other. So they had gotten ready for the day, grabbed a credit card each (courtesy of Tony), and headed outside.

"So, where to first?" Kody asked. Peter shrugged.

"I don't really shop anywhere other than D.I. or Goodwill."

Kody broke into a grin. "Perfect. I love those places. I say we grab some furniture first, books and other trinkets second, and then clothes last."

Peter agreed, so they had Happy drop them off at a furniture store. They looked around for a while and found some stuff that they liked. But Peter refused to put any of it in the cart.

"Peter. Why aren't you grabbing anything?" Kody asked. He had been looking longingly at some of the comforters and stuff, but touching none of it.

"Um. I can't... Uh, afford any of this stuff." He mumbled.

Kody looked offended. "Duh. Neither can I. What do you think these are for?" She asked, holding up the card Tony had given her on their way out. Peter still looked confused. "Peter, I was literally homeless. I stayed with friends or coworkers. I had nothing. I still have almost nothing. But when someone takes you in - especially a billionaire - you accept that they are going to pay for stuff. And they're gonna feel offended if you don't. So, wipe the sad, pitiful look off your face and have a good time. Don't worry about money, or prices, or anything else. Got it." She raised an eyebrow at him, hands on hips.

Peter didn't know what to make of it, so he said, "Yes, ma'am!" and headed down the aisle to the comforters. Dakota smiled and followed. They ended up laughing at all the superhero-themed ones and daring each other to buy them. Peter ended up with the simplest Spider-man themed one he could find. It was a darkish blue comforter with red sheets. Two pillowcases were the same blue as the comforter and the other two were red. Dakota got a dark purple comforter with dark green sheets. The pillowcases matched the colors of the duvet and the sheets, two of each. Peter got a bunk bed that had no bottom so he could store a desk or dresser underneath. Kody got a simple headboard to go behind her mattress. They also picked up a few spare blankets, and this time they went all out in getting some fun superhero themed ones with some normal ones. They each got a lamp, a new alarm clock, a desk, some picture frames, and a bookshelf. Well, Peter got a bookshelf, Dakota got two. Or seven. Let's go with seven. All were purchased and sent ahead to the tower.

Next was paint for their rooms, grey. They also grabbed a few smaller, colorful cans so they could add little details. Then came several stores for trinkets. Science stuff for Peter and lots of bookstores for Dakota. Peter enjoyed the bookstores too.

They spent lunch flipping through magazines to find some to subscribe too. Lunch was Standard Burger (already said it's a real place - in Brooklyn!!!). They got a standard burger and homemade potato chips each.

"So," Kody said, swallowing a bite of burger, "What's it like swinging around?"

"Good," Peter replied. "It's fun. Cool powers."

"Fun, fun. So, can you control spiders?"

"What?"

"Serious question. Ant-man can control and speak to ants, can you control spiders?"

"Uh, no. I can't. Wouldn't want to either." Peter decided to focus on his potato chip.

Kody smirked. "Is Spider-man afraid of spiders?"

Peter mumbled something unintelligible.

"What was that?" Kody grinned.

"I don't like them very much." Kody started laughing. "It's not funny!" Peter protested.

"No, no, you're right it's not funny. It's hilarious!" Kody laughed. "Ok. Ok. Moving on. Favorite subject?"

"Easy. Science. Your's?"

"English. Also, love dance."

"Really? That's cool. I'm ok with English, but I prefer science. Um, Favorite movie?"

"How To Train Your Dragon."

"Love that one, but love Star Wars more."

"I tried to watch Star Wars, but couldn't. I just didn't like them." Peter looked affronted. He clutched his heart and fell out of his seat onto the floor.
"How could you!?" He cried. Kody was laughing at his overreaction.

"Hey!" She laughed, throwing a potato chip at him. "At least I tried!"

"OK! OK! I'll forgive you." He sighed.

"Next question! Favorite Ice Cream Flavor. Plain Vanilla with a crap ton of toppings."

Peter popped off the ground, "Ohh! Me too!"

Kody and Peter continued to talk and laugh until they were done eating. Standing up, they started walking to the nearest Goodwill.

"Alright Peter, most ridiculous outfit wins, go!"

They split up and started rifling through the clothes. Kody ended up with several t-shirts with ridiculous and sarcastic things on them, several solid colored shirts, a few styles of dresses, leggings, jeans, shorts, and a few pairs of shoes. Pete got some of everything, including way too many shirts with science puns. They grabbed a few extra things for the Avengers.

Tony - Shirt: 'I'm not an adult, I'm over the age of 18."
Clint - Shirt that said 'in my defense, I was left unsupervised."
Pepper - Shirt: 'Chaos Coordinator.'
Steve - Shirt: 'Freedom of Speech is not a license to be stupid'
Bucky - Shirt: 'I hate morning people. And mornings. And people.'
Sam - Shirt: 'Not a sidekick'
Rhodey - Shirt: 'Not a sidekick'
Thor, Loki, and Jane - A two-person sweater that said, 'this is our getting along sweater". It was mostly for Jane to punish the brothers with.
Natasha - Shirt: 'I do this thing called whatever I want'
Bruce - Shirt: 'Who cares about lab safety, I want superpowers.' (Peter had a matching one at home)

They returned home laughing and carrying several bags of clothes, shoes, and other trinkets they had found. They dropped their stuff off in their respective rooms and went down to dinner.
