I always thought my parents would be together forever like any other kid. It was like any other kids dream to have their parents in there lives, I thought that was how my life would be. All the happy memories were wonderful.

Until a big fight happened with my parents, and my dad ended up leaving both of us in the dust. My mom then turned into what I wanted to call a monster but I still loved her. She became aggressive and started to beat me. Not because she was mad, but simply because my dad left and I remind her of him.

My whole world came crashing when she pulled a gun on me for saying I loved her. That one moment the cold metal was on my forehead caused me to beg for my life. But thankfully my neighbors had walked in at the right time.

Which lead to this very moment, me and my monster of a mother here in court together. I had no one not even my dad beside me, but she, she had everyone. Including the people I called family.

"In this defense it seems there is no evidence of Ms.Aida abusing Lorelei in any way" the judge said which was a dead giveaway im still in trouble.

"Wait, I have a tape" a lady rose which was the lady we lived across. She gave the tape to the officer and it played. It was the moment she gave me the black eye and threw hot water on me.

Everyone gasped in shock, but me, I just cried because I could potentially go through that again. The tape was cut off by the judge.

"Lorelei will you please come up here sweetie" she asked. I got up without question and stood in front of the judge.

"Will you remove your jacket please" that question was the most terrifying one I've ever heard. Nonetheless I unzipped it slowly due to my nerves acting up. As I pulled it off everyone gasped. I never healed properly so my burns and marks are still there.

"I've seen enough" she said as I was covered back up with my jacket. I sat down and cried feeling the embarrassment come as my mothers face turned red.

"Ms.Aida did you or did you not give your daughter those marks and bruises" the judge asked and nothing was said from her.

"Ms.Aida, answer my question. Did you harm your daughter" my mom shook her head yes and I sighed crying a bit more.

"I'm the case of Lorelei Aida the defendant pleads guilty and will be sentenced to life in jail without parole" the judge said before my mom was taken.

"Now Lorelei you will be taken to your father tomorrow after we get in touch with him, he will have custody of you" she told me and I nodded. I haven't seen my dad since I was 7.

"For now we are gonna place you in the hands of Sargent Williams until we can reach him" I nodded grabbed my bunny that my dad gave me a long time ago.

We drove to a hotel nearby in silence because of how tired I was. When we got there I walked in with the Sargent as he talked to the women at the front desk.

"She's gonna stay here for the night, she's needs clean clothes, a bath, and some food if you could" he said as I looked around the nice lobby for a hotel.

"Yes of course sir" he looked at me.

"Your gonna go with her okay, she's gonna take care of you and then you can go to bed" he said.

"Where will you be" I asked.

"I'll be in the room waiting when your done" I nodded as I walked with the lady nicely dressed. We walked to the elevator that took us to the 17th floor then we walked to a bathroom that was clearly made for the rich.

"The water is already warm, just let me know when your done and I'll bring you a towel" she smiled and I nodded as she walked out and closed the door behind her.

I can't really think since I'll be seeing my dad but who knows.
