That night, I dreamt of many things. I was inside the same cavern as before, but this time, I was about to be set on fire by the aliens. Right before the flames touched me, the scene changed. I was in the bedroom of my house. I looked around, what was I doing here? All of a sudden, I heard a laugh. The same, chilling laugh as the night before. The same bomb that took the leaders lives went off, but this time taking mine. But that's not where the string of dreams ended. I was in a restaurant back on Earth at a table alone. The waiter came by and put a champagne bottle on the table, with two glasses.
"Why two glasses?" I asked him.
He gave no reply and just walked off. Then I saw why. Standing at the doorway, looking around was Cassie in a long pink dress with her hair let down. She saw me and came over to sit at the table. She looked at me and smiled. But then, she turned into Rapier and started charging up the red gun.
I woke up with a start.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm good," I lied.
"Want some breakfast?" She said.
"Sure," I replied.
"Fruits or nuts?" She asked.
"Any is fine," I said.
Cassie tossed me a bag of peanuts. We sat there eating in silence. The silence was suddenly broken by the sound of footsteps.
"Quick! In the Jeep," I whispered loudly to Cassie.
We both got in the Jeep and crouched down so that whatever was coming didn't see us.
"We've got to get the deprenium from the caves before it's gone!" Said a voice.
"Watch out for the Kreluks though, they will also want to keep that safe," said another.
I peeked over the edge of the Jeep and saw two humans. One male and one female from the looks of it. They seemed to be a pair of outcasts who didn't want to stay with the other humans when we got here. The man looked no older then 30 and the woman looked a few years younger. The man was wearing a gray winter jacket with jeans, had black hair, and an amethyst colored sword. The woman was wearing the same gray jacket with black leggings, blonde hair, and the same sword. I started getting up.
"What are you doing?" Hissed Cassie.
"Getting us home," I replied.
"Hey," I said out loud.
The two humans whipped around, the swords the color of amethyst in their hands.
"Who are you?" Asked the female.
"My name is Jack, and this is Cassie," I said, signaling Cassie to stand up.
"My name is Phillip, and this is Amber," Phillip said. "What are you doing out here? Are you outcasts?"
"No, we're explorers who got lost in a dust storm," Cassie said. "We need to make some tools to fix our Jeep so we can find our way back home. Could you help us?"
"Give us a second," Amber said, dragging Phillip a few yards away so that we were out of earshot.
They started having what seemed to be an argument. After about a minute of them arguing, they came back.
"Sorry about that, she doesn't know whether we should help you or not. But we came to the decision that if you want, you can tag along with us to get some materials for those tools," Phillip said.
