"SO, DID ANYONE ASK YOU TO PROM?" Kyla asked Charlotte as Kyla applied lipstick onto her own lips. Valerie was busy curling Charlotte's long black hair that was always straight.

Charlotte shook her head, "Nope. How about you girls?"

"I'm going with Miles," Valerie said, "Until he actually grows some balls and talks to Sam."

Kyla giggled, "And I'm going with Xavier. Him and I promised to have a dance battle and gain the title as prom king and queen together. We have a whole master plan for this."

"Well good luck and have fun because there's no prom king or queen," Charlotte snorted, making Kyla's mouth drop.

"What? Is this even prom then?"

Charlotte chuckled as Valerie realized something, "Wait, nobody asked you, Char?"

Charlotte shook her head, "I was on guard duty with Clark the entire day."

"Not even someone came by to ask you?" Kyla questioned, exchanging a glance with Valerie. It was as if they knew something that Charlotte didn't.

Charlotte raised an eyebrow and shook her head, "Why? Was someone supposed to ask me?"

"No, we just thought someone would ask you." Valerie lied, while continuing to do Charlotte's hair.

Charlotte shrugged, "I doubt guys would wanna ask me, they're probably intimidated by me. I mean, I have a nasty bruise on the side of my cheek."

"Which we successfully covered with makeup!" Kyla grinned and held out a lipstick to Charlotte, "Now put this on, prom starts in half an hour."

Charlotte felt pretty. She wasn't the skinniest girl or the prettiest, but she liked the way she looked, even though sometimes she didn't feel pretty at all. Her thighs and arms were muscular and her waist was small but not as small as her cousin's, Helena. She didn't mind it, since she liked that she had some strength to hold herself up whenever she got into fights.

Her dress was a mint colour, since it was her favourite colour. It was a long, off the shoulder dress that reached to her feet, and had a leg slit on the left side of the dress. It fit her nicely, and she couldn't love it anymore.

This dress was sitting in Kyla's closest, since Kyla loved to design clothes for fun. Apparently she had made that dress just for Charlotte.

Charlotte's long black hair was curled and she had matte pink lipstick on. Charlotte didn't like to wear makeup, so she stuck to accessories. The only makeup she had on was the concealer to cover up her bruise, and the lipstick that the girls forced her to wear. For accessories, she had chandelier looking earrings and a shiny necklace. She also wore multiple bracelets and cuffs around her arms and wrists.

"We're the first ones here," Valerie whistled as they walked into the hall. Only a few people were here, like Cassandra, Gordie, Allie, and Will.

"You guys look stunning," Xavier smiled as he walked over with Miles.

Miles nodded and grinned at Charlotte, "Especially Charlotte, I never knew you had a body, girl, it was always covered with oversized t-shirts and sweatpants."

Charlotte rolled her eyes with a grin, "Whatever, it's way more comfy than this damn dress. I can bust down in those clothes, while I'm stuck having to stand and be proper in this dress."

"So, you got a date, Char?" Xavier asked as he drank from his cup of alcohol. Xavier liked to drink, so it wasn't a surprise that he had already started to drink even though the party hadn't even started yet.
