“Isabelle! Hurry up! It’s almost 5:00, were gonna miss it!” I was shouting for her from their living room, then I smiled at her mother saying sorry for the noise I am making. I knew she didn’t mind because both of us were in each other’s houses since I can actually remember. Then I heard some rustling in her room and her door opened. She went out, saw me then smiled.
“I’m sorry Mathew. I over slept” We both laughed
“You do look like you just woke up. Why the afternoon nap Belle?”
“Shut up Matt. Don’t call me that” She doesn’t like me calling her that. It’s too girly Matt. Seriously. I never did understood why she was like this, where normal girls were skirts she wears Jeans. I wouldn’t be surprised if she decides to wear suits in formal events. Girls make fun of her, but honestly, she doesn’t give a fuck. Maybe that is why many guys like her.
I took her hand and yanked her towards the door “Yeah, yeah. Common Iz. Were gonna be late!”
She laughed “What is it with you and sunsets?”
I shrugged and grinned “It’s as beautiful as you.” She stopped dead in her tracks and looked at me, like she couldn’t believe someone would call her beautiful. Another thing I don’t get, she’s gorgeous. I gave her a come on look, she shrugged and followed me.
It was a one hour drive from her house to the lighthouse I was taking her to. When we finally arrived she hugged me. “It’s beautiful here, Matt”
The wonder and amazement in her eyes made me unable to resist laughing. “Were not even there yet” We were at the bottom of the lighthouse, the scenery was great. The vast green forests and amazing plants. The blue pond. But I know that the view from the lighthouse is a thousand times better than of from the ground. “Let’s go!” She smiled and we took the first step.
