Ayla's POV

Sitting up, a long yawn escaped my lips. I hate sleeping in Cole's bedroom because I always wake up to the sunlight in my eyes.

I looked around the room and then turned to Cole. He's still asleep and the handcuffs are still around our wrists. I thought he would've taken them off by now.

My head throbbed in pain and I let out a small groan as I placed a hand to my forehead.

Cole rolled over and dragged me along with him. I fell onto his stomach and groaned again as I placed my hand on his chest to get up.

"What are you doing?" He questioned and went to push my hand away, but that only caused me to fall back onto him.

"You rolled over and dragged me with you." I retorted as I laid on my back.

We stayed in silence and I looked to see Cole's eyes shut. I turned away and stared at the ceiling as I spoke, "Did Lela give you the keys?"

"She threw them." He replied and my eyes widened a bit.

"What? Where?" I questioned as I sat up. "We have to find them."

"Not now." He responded and pulled me back, causing me to fall onto him again.

"You have got to stop doing that." I retorted as he turned on his side. I climbed over him and sat on the edge of the bed, my back resting against his abs.

I hate him, yes, but his abs do feel nice against my back. I haven't seen them, but I'd be okay with seeing them. And I'm not saying I want to, however, I wouldn't complain if I did happen to get a peek.

Cole and I stayed in silence and I started to get bored. I want to go downstairs and help Becca prepare breakfast with the other maids. It's pretty fun with them. Most times we'd gossip about random things we hear or we'd try to play a game while cleaning and cooking.

I don't know if I'll be able to help them today though. My head hurts so bad.

"What are you thinking about?" Cole asked and I shrugged.

"Can we just go downstairs to find the keys? After that you can go back to sleep." I mumbled, wanting to be free from him already.

Cole sat up and I took that as my cue to stand up. We walked out of the room and made our way downstairs.

"In what direction did she throw them?" I asked and he led me towards the fireplace.

I began to look around by the floor while Cole just stood there. When I found nothing, I stood up straight and turned to him.

"Can you lift me up?" I asked and he wrapped his arms around my waist, and lifted me up.

I looked around the shelf above the fireplace and found the keys behind a vase. I grabbed them and patted Cole's hands.

He placed me down and I unlocked the cuff around my wrist and then unlocked the one around his.

Cole walked away and I placed the keys and handcuffs on the shelf before going upstairs to start my morning routine.

***************************************

Lela, Layla, and I laid on the couch, leaning against each other as we watched The Amazing Spider-Man: 2.

I have the worst hangover I've had in a while. Lela gave me Tylenol, but it doesn't help much. We decided to just lay around the living room and watch movies for the rest of the day since they're also suffering with hangovers.

"Ayla." Cole called out and I turned to see him nod towards the stairs.

"I'll be back." I muttered and stood up, following him upstairs.

"I need you to do something." He said as we walked into his room.

"Like?" I asked, bringing a hand up and rubbing my forehead to try and ease the pain.

"I'll explain in detail once the day comes." He said and turned back to me. "Have you taken some Tylenol?"

"Yeah." I sighed and put my hand down. "I need to know what you want me to do before I agree to help."

"Just toy around with a man named Alberto Hayok. Distract him enough to steal his wallet." Cole explained briefly as I sat on the bed.

I put my face in my hands and thought about what he said. I have questions I want him to answer, but I'm not sure if he'll give me answers now.

Cole sat beside me and gently placed his hand on my back. He hesitated before rubbing my back soothingly.

He's probably being nice so I'll agree to help.

"Why do you want this guys wallet?" I asked. "And why does it have to be me to do this?"

"You haven't really been spotted with us yet, so he won't find you suspicious." Cole replied, but ignored my question about why he wants the wallet. "You won't sleep with him if that's what you're worried about."

"Will I be alone?" I asked and sat up straight, making Cole take his hand off of me.

"We'll be around the club. If we see you in danger, we'll help you." He answered and I slowly nodded.

"What's in it for me?" I queried, turning to look at him. He can't expect me to do this for free.

"I had a feeling you'd ask that." He sighed and I watched as he pulled an envelope out of his pocket. "This is two thousand dollars. It'll be yours if you help us."

He opened the envelope and I looked inside before looking up at him.

"Make it three thousand and you got yourself a deal." I said and he sighed again before giving a nod. "Nice doing business with you."

"You should eat something." He spoke once I stood up. "Come on."

Cole stood up and I followed him out of the room and downstairs. We went into the kitchen and he opened the fridge.

"What do you want to eat?" He asked and I just stared at him, surprised at how kind he's being right now. "Are you deaf?"

"Uh...a bowl of fruits." I finally answered and he rolled his eyes away from me, seeming to already be irritated with me.

"Something that will fill you up." He muttered and I stood up, searching the cabinets.

Once I found the Nutella, I pulled it out and grabbed a spoon. Cole watched as I dipped the spoon inside the jar and pulled it out, licking the spoon.

"That's it?" He questioned and I shook my head as I grabbed some bread. "Find Jason when you're done. He'll explain everything else to you."

Cole walked out and I kept thinking back to how caring he was being.

What changed?

Busy schedule = short chapter

Don't complain to me about short chapters. I'm trying to make them longer than before, but I have other things to do other than writing.

Also, I have never been drunk and I never will be, so I don't know how drunk people act and such. ‼️
