As Kate watched Boromir spar, she chatted with Gimli, son of Gloin. He was pleasantly interesting and was very happy with Kate's knowledge of the dwarven culture.
''Lass, I can't 'elp but wonder, where did ye learn all this stuff?'' Gimli asked, very surprised with Kate's interest in a dwarf's 'One'.
Kate smiled. ''Fanfiction.''
''Huh?''
''Fanfiction. It's like....if someone rewrote your story, but changed something.'' Kate tried explaining. However, one cannot simply explain fanfiction. ''Like.....if somebody added another character to your story. It's usually a female, who falls in love with either Aragorn or Legolas. It's called a Tenth Walker fanfic.''
Gimli raised an eyebrow. ''Men and elves. What about the dwarf love stories?''
Kate bit back a laugh. ''The dwarf love stories are usually for the Hobbit. It's usually a Thorin, Kili, or Fili love story. Sometimes Gloin and Ori.''
Gimli made a disgusted face. ''Me father has a One in me father, nobody else.
At this, Kate had to laugh. She laughed loudly, something that caught Boromir's eyes. He was slightly jealous of Gimli making her laugh so, but the jealously left, as soon as Kate flashed a gorgeous smile in his direction. This brief moment of diverted attention allowed Merry and Pippin to tackle Boromir, making Kate give another round of laughs.

Ashley stood next to Legolas, frustrated. He was scouting the area and giving her no attention. She was trying to get him to trust her and realize that she did know the future.
''I'm telling you, Legolas!'' Ashley shouted, frustrated. Dwarves were supposed to be the stubborn ones, right? Well, Legolas's father was pretty stubborn......''I KNOW THE FUTURE! SERIOUSLY!'' She shouted.
Legolas sighed. He wanted to believe her. He really did. Suddenly, a name hit him, as he watched her argue. ''The fiery maiden from New York.....'' He muttered.
''What? Actually, I don't care, just listen to me!'' Ashley asks, taken aback.
''And she persists.'' Legolas sighed, and continued scouting the area.
''Wha-LEGOLAS!'' Ashley shouted, frustrated. Suddenly, she got an idea. ''I'll let it go, but you gotta listen to something first.''
''Yes?'' Legolas said, happy to get her off his case.
''I'll tell you what. In a couple of seconds, Boromir is gonna accidentally scratch Pippin's hand. They're gonna tackle Boromir, and shout 'for the Shire'.''
Legolas thought that the idea was absurd and didn't understand why Ashley thought that.
However, sure enough, it happened.
