Finally mine

Chapter one

I woke up tossing and turning after hearing my mother scream my name"Shawniceeeeeee, you're gonna be late for your first day". "I'm up mom", I screamed right back. "I know you did not just scream at me", my mom said. I huffed. It's the first day of my senior year in high school and Ridge wood high school is just like every other typical high school. But at my school I heard that a lot of people are social and like to be out except I'm not like that . I'm an intovert.

I get out of bed and rush to the bathroom being that school starts at 8:00 and it's already 7:20 ,I throw my curly hair in a quick bun and take a shower. I step out doing my daily morning routine,brush my teeth,style my hair,look in the mirror and say "you're beautiful and unstoppable" . Some people might think it's silly but it helps with my confidence.

I pick out my outfit,a mini denim skirt and a big t-shirt and my black vans,I take my black backpack from my study table and head down stairs. "Good morning mother""hey baby,you always wake up late on your first day to school and-""I know ,I know. What's for breakfast?". She passes me a bowl of cereal that I gobble up in a hurry to leave."Bye mom,see you later""Bye baby,be careful". Closing the front door I roll my eyes grumbling"telling me to be careful like I'm some toddler"I say getting into my Nissan murano I got for my 16th birthday last year and driving off to school.
