"Happy Birthday Shiane! Hope u get attached soon"

"Whoa u r 23 now... Pls hurry and get a bf"

"Aiyo, 23 still young... U don't need a bf anytime soon cos u r a career women rite? "

It's the day that I don't celebrate anymore. My birthday no longer holds the same significance when I was 21.

It's a reminder that I have aged and while maturity is good, I have absolutely no experience in relationships- the romantic kind! NONE?!

While I was born cleft lip and palate, I have undergone the knife for corrective surgery 10 times till date and looks no longer holds me back. Not only have I strengthen my character, my personality is so much more attractive! At least that's what the others say...Then what's the problem why am I still single?

Being single has it pros... Admittedly, being a workaholic, single hood gives u autonomy to do the things u want without a care ( at least other than concerns from the family :D )

So y the urgency? For one- being single while all ur gfs are attached .. Tsk! That's the worst feeling ever!

And even when the guys say that I look like someone who would have tons of experience, it ain't helping the situation dude!

So what now? Focus on studies and examine the potentials around u ?

I guess that's my only option now right? How about that smarty pants KW.......

>>Next up: the potentials in Shiane's life and Shiane's background

NOTE: I do not have the time to proofread; this is adapted from my personal story- don't accuse me of plagiarism. For those that have no idea what does a cleft patient look like, pls google and show compassion for those who are different!

For those that has no idea where Singapore is, ignorance is not bliss, go google as it will not only increase r knowledge but searching for singapore online will give u an idea of why the stark difference in language structure/word usage. Keyword: Singlish

U can comment, vote etc but do take into consideration that this is my first fictional piece and it will be in my colloquial lingo.

Any similarities is pure coincidence. No offence.
