Tomorrow was the first day of senior year. I was dreading the thought of going back to the gray dull hallways of Coolidge High school. The ape like jocks, the annoying hyena popular girls, and the others who just don't care. Well, I was somewhere in the middle there. I would watch failed relationship after failed relationship play out in the hallways, I watched everybody find themselves, lose their innocence, make friends, lose friends. I stayed quiet. It was just one of those things I didn't know how to explain. My parents would ask, and I'd tell them, I just don't like having people over. I'd rather they think they were just embarrassing then think that I don't know how to make friends but the truth was I just didn't care about it. I went to school, I did okay and I came home. End of the story. Well kind of.. I spent a lot of time alone, in my bedroom. Playing video games or doing schoolwork while listening to music, and somewhat waiting. Waiting for what?... well the truth was I was waiting for Maddie. Maddie would come home, she'd sit on the edge of her bed, she would slowly take down her ponytail and slide off her T-shirt, she'd stand there in her bra and shorts. She would then slowly slide off her shorts and then before changing she'd just stare at herself for a moment in her mirror, right next to her window. She'd turn around a couple of times, examining her tan body. She'd look down at her chest and then at it in the mirror. She'd then open her dresser and dig through it to find something cute to wear. I'd watch as she'd pick something out and sit on her bed for a few moments after changing before she'd go out for the evening. Tonight was different though. She got home and changed into her pajamas rather early. She stood in the mirror and looked down at her stomach in her cropped T-shirt. It was tiny and slim. I didn't normally go for those kinds of girls but she was admittedly perfect. There was something about her I was drawn to. I went to bed early once she laid down for the night and her light shut off. God even I know how creepy that sounds. I didn't mean to stalk her, I just couldn't get enough of her... she was sweet and pretty and nice. And I thought maybe if I looked at her enough, I'd feel like I know her, and maybe then I could talk to her. That morning I woke up bright and early. My mom asked me to go pick up some milk, the store was just down the road and I didn't have my license yet so I quickly got dressed and walked out the door. I hadn't had time to even see if Maddie was awake but I knew I'd be seeing her soon at school. It was a foggy morning I first grabbed the paper and tossed it closer to the doorstep so when I got home I could see it to bring it in. I looked over and there right before me was Maddie stretching, in a white sports bra and tight little spandex shorts. My eyes were wide. "Hey, Mason! I didn't know you jogged in the morning! I'm surprised I haven't seen you." She smiled, I smiled back. "Um. I um, I was just um." God I'm so stupid, what the fuck is actually wrong with me?! "Come on, you can jog with me!" She smiled and waved me closer. I nodded and started to try and catch up to her. God she was fast. Her perfect tight body, and her adorable face, she was mesmerizing. I could hardly keep up. By the time we reached the end of our street I was out of breath, I stopped for a moment. She giggled. "How about we just walk?" She asked, I nodded. "Are you going somewhere?" She asked, "um I, yeah. Milk." I said looking down at the sidewalk. "What?" She asked, "my uh, my mom she needed um milk." I said looking at my feet. "Are you really shy? Is that why you don't talk to me?" She asked looking down. I nodded. "Yeah, I guess, I uh don't know what to say." I laughed at myself. "Well I'm not going to judge you. I think shy guys are kind of cute." She smiled. We picked up milk, and on our way back she smiled and looked at her watch. "Oh I have to run home quick, I have to change before school. Hey, how about you come talk to me at school today?" She smiled. "Um okay!" I said nervously as I watched her run off. She was perfection! I was in love... even I know how corny that is but damn.
