It was a late summer night when I woke up to the sound of footsteps. They weren't in the hall or anything like that but on the roof since I sleep in the attic. I have 5 other siblings. I have easy access to the roof through a window and I usually do go out there to look at the stars on clear nights. I walk over to my window that leads onto the roof and open it slowly trying not to make noise.
squeeeeak
"Dangit..." I say as soon as it stops in a whisper. "Hello?" I call out. I was thinking this was a bird or some animal and I'm usually never scared so I was fine with calling out to it. Kinda. "Hello." It said. That's definitely a human male. "Don't be afraid. I am Spaceman. No need to introduce yourself, Heather." At this point I was truly scared. Who the freak was 'Spaceman'? "What do you want!?" I call out my voice wavering. I started to feel clam like I was at some kind of safe place. "Come out here and join me. Stella is dancing especially bright to meet you." "Alright.." I couldn't believe myself. I just felt so safe around this guy. When I stepped out and climbed the little ways I had to to the roof I saw nothing but a black figure with a wide bright white smile. "Wanna hear the tales of the night ones?" He said turning to me patting the spot beside him. "Yes please."
"First is King Spaceworm. He was the greatest! Whenever he would introduce himself he would say, 'I am King Spaceworm, ruler and guardian of all Space worms. If you disobey me you shall be infected with ringworm! As a warning you shall get your toes bitten off!'" "Omg.." I started giggling at that. "Yes he was very funny. He was also a great person in general. He was definitely a fighter. He died protecting his best friend, Space Toad. She was also great." "She sounds pretty cool! Wait.. did Spaceworm ever have any other friends?" I questioned. "Of course! They were normal people like you though. Sussi, Gabby, and Demanie. They weren't as popular as the rest but yes they were very important to KING Spaceworm. Never say just Spaceworm or off with your toes!" We both laughed at that! "How did he did though?" Spaceman looked at me and frowned. "He knew it was coming and he accepted it because he knew if he moved it hit her..." "How??" "You wouldn't understand how it works. But that's okay. Maybe another time." "K.."
"Second was Space Toad. She was a beautiful woman. She's still alive today! It's upsetting you can't meet her but yeah.. anyway, she was also a fighter. She was also very confident. She had many friends and would not always talk to King Spaceworm but no matter what he wouldn't let her get hurt just cause she didn't talk to him. Any true friend would. She also wore purple all around." "Kinda like my hair! I have purple streaks with some pink!" "Yes and it looks very nice on you. Anyway, it's unfortunate but our time is up. I will have to tell you about the 3 others another night. Goodnight~"
Morning
As I woke up I started to yawn. "Ahhh.. wait. When did I go to bed!?" I don't think that was a dream. It seemed so real.. it probably was just a dream but I feel like if I forget it... I won't hear about the rest.. That's what I'm gonna do! Wait? I don't know.. what am I gonna do..? Whatever.
That didn't even matter. He's isn't coming.
I have seen him in 2 years.
I should just give up.
