I felt a familiar menacing feeling overcome me. Oh no, I thought digging my nails in my palms. A tremor ran through my body. My vision blurred as I half stumbled half crawled to the dresser in my room. Pills, where are the pills? My shaking hands knocked over a few bottles of perfume and one crashed the ground with a harsh crack. I winced as a shard flew past my ankle.

Finally finding the bottle of little blue pills I fumbled with the cap until I got the bottle open. I tipped the bottle and an abundance of pills spilled out on my hands and onto the floor. The pills blurred together like little blue dots as the tremors became more violent and my hands gripping the dresser were pale white. I dropped the handful of pills on the dresser and they bounced like cheerful confetti. I quickly picked up two. Water. I looked for a source of water and found a half drunken bottle of coke nearby, good enough. With a swing of flat coke, I swallowed the pills and wrapped a blanket around me rocking myself in the corner of the room, squeezing my eyes shut in hopes that it wouldn’t appear. I was afraid it was too late but then the tremors started to fade into the occasional shiver.

After half an hour I had calmed down and slowly gathered enough courage to stand up and walk to the bathroom. My legs slightly shook under me. I padded barefoot into the bathroom, my blanket dragging on my floor. And with a trembling sigh I looked in the mirror.

My name is Belial. I was the most beautiful angel in heaven. I guess that’s why I was kicked out, I let a bitter laugh that came out like a horse croak. I stared at my reflection, pale, lifeless, evil. Black hair trailed down to my knees, a tall slim body, and them. The eyes that lured Lucifer in, the ones that made him bring me. Ha, I joined him all right, and what did I get? My beautiful wings, long and luscious, torn out. It hurt like hell. No pun intended.

When I was scared, my innocent eyes changed into sinister blood red eyes, eyes of a demon. I ran away from hell, too dark and depressing down there. So what if I control all of northern hell? It’s no fun when you’ve got no friends and everyone scared the crap of you. And by everyone I meant all those puny lower demons. There weren’t even any good looking guys down there! Sure, if you put a smear of glamour everyone looks like a million bucks, but that’s all it was, glamour.

I rubbed my sore eyes. Why had my eyes changed again? Oh yeah, I got scared while watching a vampire sitcom. Humans sure were funny when it came to making shows about the supernatural. I walked back into my living room. The girl was struggling with a vampire dude, that was the guy. A shiver ran down my spine. Why did he seem so familiar? Familiar enough to send me running to my pills.

Bingo. A thought popped in my head. Abigur, what the heck was he doing up here? He’s got 60 legions to look after, well so did I but I ran away. But he actually likes hell, unlike me. I grabbed my leather jacket and strolled out the door. After all what is a demon without her leather jacket?
