Lord Amasa with rage flowing rapidly through his blood thundered, "TAKE HER AWAY! But tomorrow...slave...." He said as he lifted my chin to face his, "You'll regret your descision." Finishing his threat, he threw his hand up signaling them to take me away.

As the tears splattered upon the stone floor, my arms were firmly grabbed. "Noooo!" I silently screamed through my sobs. The gruff men grabbed me firmly by my upper arms and pulled me out of my chair. I was thrown upon the floor and thus groaned in pain as the wind was knocked out of me. "Come on ye wimpy girl." An intimidating man growled.

"How dare you." I uttered solemnly.

"I SAID COME ON!" He bellowed shoving the butt of his spear into my side.

I groaned as I stumbled down the stairs in utter sorrow realizing, 'I'll probably never see my mother again, or Goldie or anyone! Just that stupid, rat-eating, muttonhead Amasa. What am I gonna do? What am I gonna do??' The tears began rolling once more as my heart pounded.

"Git in there ye li'l runt." They growled as I was thrown upon the ground in the dungeon cell. Alexander crawled to my side.

"An' you." The gaurd said point the point of his spear at him,"Don't git any ideas like the last time."

Alexander looked down at the floor, "Yes Gyle."

Gyle and his friend huffed off into the darkness. I, still spread out upon the floor, weeped on account of my future dismay.

"What's wrong Victoria?" He said laying his hand upon my shaking back.

"I-I-I am...to be...tortured!" at this last word I broke into weeping once more

. "What?!" He cried. "No! I wont let it happen! Why would he...torture you?"

"Because...I wouldn't tell him where the-the royal t-t-treasury was."

"The treasury..." He said thoughfully. "I should've known. Amasa's been after that tresure for twenty years. Ever since his kingdom was plundered."

I crawled into the corner and formed a ball. "He deserves it." I whimpered.

"Maybe..." He said soothingly.

"What do you mean maybe?" I said offended by his uncertainty as I wiped away a tear.

"Nothing...nothing...." He said as if pondering long-ago memories.
