There was once a young lady who fell in love with a strange guy. A guy who wasn’t been part of her life before, or even a friend to her. But the guy is familiar to her, yes. The girl was Mae who was in her second year high school journey having a younger cousin named Belle and classmates with Toph, who was the guy also deep in love with Mae. There’s a confidential reason why Toph became that much familiar to Mae. Mae’s closest cousin, Belle, was secretly in love with Toph that time. They were classmates since Grade 3 that made Belle fall even more. Being the closest pair in their family, Belle and Mae act more like sisters. They share everything to each other, no secrets at all. So from then on, Belle was able to mention Toph’s name to her Ate every time they went on a love life conversation.
So unexpectedly, shockingly and surprisingly, time came that Mae and Toph met. They’re more like in love with each other’s smiles and exchange of feelings. So weird, right? But times pass by wherein Toph and Mae were able to chat for longer time. Toph keeps on sending notes to Mae containing simple but sweet messages. Belle and Mae’s closeness changed, of course. They rode on the same trike when going home and it’s awkward. Belle’s classmates and more of friends also annoyed with Mae from that time. Issues made by backstabbers were scattered but it never put Toph down to unlike Mae. The awkwardness between Belle and Mae last for two months. No talk and no text.
Still, blood is thicker than water that’s why being cousins made them back to where they used to be before. Things went on normally even though sudden changes occur because Belle has already accepted the fact that Toph like her Ate that much. She gave the two the right freedom to make them happy and comfortable with each other. It’s been a long hard year, there’s a mutual understanding going on between Mae and Toph. It last even longer. Toph became Mae’s suitor for one year and five months. On April 6, 2011, they finally put themselves into an official relationship. For those times, they’re situation is okay now with Belle. Toph and Belle are consistent classmates. Mae and Toph’s relationship is simple: They’re not always together but in school, they ate lunch together, went home together, and keep on texting each other by the time they leave each other. Toph is close to Mae’s group of friends. They laugh hardly together and talk silly together. But this closeness made most of the group fishy on how Toph was still able to get jealous of Mae’s attention given to her friends.
Mae loves her ten closest high school friends so much. She’s with them most of the time, maybe. But she does balance the attention she gives to her friends, and to her boyfriend. But Toph is pretty much childish, but not selfish I guess. They quarrel again and again, with that damn jealousy. And that attitude made Mae cut their relationship. Because their relationship is working but it gets boring because of the continuous misunderstandings and got worst. She decided to break it up. At first, they broke up being comfortable with each other. Toph keeps on getting second chance, texting and calling Mae every so often. Since their break up, Toph became much more outgoing and drunk a lot of booze. That time, Mae is also just seeking for space and time but she put it in a wrong way. She never thought of any situation that will soon make up her regrets. Everybody knows how much Toph loves Mae, the way he treats her and loves her completely. With this, nobody thought that Toph could love another girl that fast.
It’s been a month after they’re break up and Mae was already on her first year college when she knew that Toph is cursing someone on they’re school. This hurt her like hell. She never anticipated that Toph could do that. Mae is so bummed with her ex-boyfriend. It brought her depression because it does not meet her expectation that they’ll both suffer and recover for a long time. It really burns her up. It takes a long long time for Mae to accept. She can’t even move on because she still loves Toph so much. Months passed and certain things made Mae realize and served as eye-opener. But, by the time Mae stopped on holding on, Toph tend to came back to her. She didn’t accept. “In this case, saying 'sorry' just doesn't cut it. Its fall-short.”, she said. She walked away and didn’t text Toph anymore. “I'm not walking away from you or what we have. I'm just letting you go because I can't remember why I held on tight for so damn long.”
On Toph’s birthday, Mae doesn’t have the guts to greet him. But Toph’s classmates asked for a favor. They’ve wanted Mae to greet Toph even a single text. They told Mae that Toph cried while class is ongoing because Toph is really expecting for Mae’s greet. What’s great is Toph’s classmate effort a lot and fetched Maeand got her elbow one's way through a crowd just to make Toph happy. Mae agreed on the surprising angle of Toph’s classmates which are her friends too. The surrounding is dead. Maybe that’s the perfect moment. Mae suddenly became a drama queen in front of his ex-boyfriend and unloaded all the heartaches. Toph bolt towards her and hug her tight. They talked for a long time as if it is really a treasury moment for the both of them. Toph offered himself to Mae as her suitor and will take all the risk just to have her again. And this is really way too far from what they’ve both expected.
