prologue

You've been at the BAU for many years now, you've been through hell and back with your team and basically called them family. You were probably more close with Spencer out of the whole team, he was your best friend, your soulmate, you would do anything for each other.

You were a very kindhearted soul, soft on about anyone. You saw the good in almost everybody you came across and you were the type to give a second chance to anyone who deserved one. You had a smile on your face every single day, you wanted to be the light and happiness for the team.

You didn't have much of your real family left, your mother died when you were young and you were raised by your very alcoholic father who treated you terribly. The last you heard from him was when you found out he had fully recovered from his addiction and that he had an entirely new family now.

You had to admit, it hurt when you found that out but you realized that there wasn't much that you could do, so you just put a smile on your face and went on with your life.

Lately though, you've been feeling pretty odd around Spencer. Your feelings towards him were slowly growing to be more than platonic and you were more than sure he did not feel the same way.

He noticed that you've been acting strange and asked you about it, but like always you just laughed and shrugged it off.

You really weren't sure on what to do, so you went to Penelope, who was like a sister to you.

After you told her about your little ordeal, she gave you some advice, but before that she totally fangirled over the whole thing.

You proceeded to go about your life, hoping these feelings were temporary and would just eventually die out.

Little did you know that your life would drastically be turned upside down.
