Chapter 1
The small, wild flame on the candle mirrored Sebastian's own nervousness as he asked the question. Who knew how his Master would react to it? Sure, it could be simple enough, a plain yes or a no with a small scolding or insult, but now things were different. In his new nature, Ciel could easily hurt him with newfound strength; one that could easily break a bridge or stop a train with a single hand. Sure, that was not enough to kill Sebastian or any demon, but it would cause some undeserved pain.
"My Lord, do you wish to stay here, or move to our realm?," The Demon Butler asked, eyes lowered. He did not want to stir anger within his young Master; it could cause many unpleasant things, and Sebastian was not up to experiencing them once again.
Silence reined over the small room, allowing for Ciel to debate his options for a moment. Before arriving to any decision, he decided to ask, "What is it like...Hell I mean. Is it really a pleasant place?," he said with dark-blue eyes.
The butler thought over his answer for a moment, knowing some of the consequences that could come, should he answer wrongly. Sebastian decided to go on the less-dangerous side and explained, "I am not quite sure what you'll think of it, but for most of us demons it is a very special place we rarely get to go. We can finally see our families after being out on contracts for years," he tried to explain without giving his own opinion on the matter, being aware that his Demon Master was never going to care for it ever again.
"So you have families? You have yet to tell me anything about the others," the Master barked, not quite caring about anything. Blue eyes had turned scarlet once again, "And the place. Tell me about it."
"Yes," Sebastian inclined his head, "We do have families, but it is more like adoptive parents and siblings. Demons cannot have children of our own, and all of us were once human," He tried his best to explain in a full point of view.
"If you were once human, then how can you not display human emotions, yet I can?," the younger male asked, puzzled by the new knowledge he was hearing from his butler.
The butler had absolutely no way of answering this question without calling forth underserved anger from his Master. Resigning to his fate, he stated, "Well, Master, your case is quite different to most demons and quite rare," He said, eyes lowered, hiding wine red eyes from sight. The demon was preparing himself for whatever Ciel decided to do to him.
"If so, then how are most cases?," The Young Demon asked, eyes turning blue once again in curiosity. He had to accustom himself to control any emotion that could affect him, but now was not the time for that. Ciel was solely focused on finding out about this species, the one he was being forced to call his own from now on.
"Young Devils are often found in any place within hell. It is known that our origins come from human beings who were most evil, and committed at least five of the Seven Deadly Sins throughout the majority of their ill-fated lives. We know this because, at some point in time, we are able to regain our memories of when we were human."
"Oh?," Ciel smirked, "Then how was your life? As a human, that is," Now that the Young Demon was getting some information, his interest had been spiked on his Butler's previous life. He would not back down on his demand, and sat down, waiting for Sebastian's response.
The Demon winced. Once again, he had no way of avoiding this question, "From what I can still recall, my life was quite simple. I killed quite a number of people though, and committed all Seven Deadly Sins, along with many others on the side," he gave a weak chuckle, "Indeed, I was no good fellow at all."
The Lord frowned, 'Smartass,' His thoughts spoke about Sebastian. The Butler had indeed answered his question, but did not dare leave a small hint as to the part Ciel was most interested in: his personal life.
Not that he would ask directly either.
"Is something bothering you, Sir?," The Butler obtained the nerve to ask, thinking that his Master's side was showing for the meantime. Just then, the younger demon's eyes flickered, turning to a vibrant shade of scarlet red once again, "Nothing at all," he replied harshly, a glare accompanying the statement.
Sebastian bowed, "Then, please excuse me," he then turned around and left the Master's chambers. Once the older demon was out of earshot, Ciel sighed, "I need to control these...," He whispered in frustration, pertaining to his change of nature.

"This is very good, did you make something different today?," A long-haired female with emerald eyes asked to her maid, referring to today's dessert.
"Yes," she smiled, "I added some cream into the mix to make it even sweeter; your verdict is...?," the servant awaited for her Mistress to speak.
"It is," The brunette spoke slowly, still with a small piece of cake on her mouth. Once she was able to swallow, she continued, "I like it better than before. You can keep doing it this way," she replied while standing up, her dress full of frills looking ever-so-graceful.
"Yes," the brown-haired female nodded and bowed, walking over to pick up the Mistress plate, "Next in your schedule is your tutoring with Mr. Hopkins, and after that you will have a business meeting with a representative from the Griffin Company. They wish to speak to you about their wish to expand to Women's Products, and it seems they wish to make some sort of 'alliance' with us to accomplish it."
"Any acquaintance of theirs that I should take into consideration?," the mistress questioned.
"None."
"Then we'll have to refuse," The lady spoke with conviction, hair falling over her left eye as she moved. The woman nodded, a small smirk mirroring the one of her Mistress.
"Let us go, Irina. After that, we have to go out, right? You need to change," the Mistress had acquired a strange fetish: she did not like for people to see her most-trusted servant in maid clothes, but better ones instead. It was a strange habit, but none of them minded it anymore, "Understood. After that, I shall prepare your afternoon snack, and then, we can leave."
