Chapter 1

"Xiara Bae! Are you really used into being late everyday huh?!" Your mom shouted as she try to wake you up

"Come on sister! I'm so excited for school" your little brother said as he help you stand up

"Eric! You little kiddo!" You said as your brother run for his life

"That kid is really something" you laugh

"Well, I hope you're not irritated or annoyed when he's around" your mom worriedly said 

"Mom? Of course not! I love Eric more than a real brother. I don't care on what that man said. I'm not affected to it. It doesn't bother me at all. Besides, I'm gonna kick his ass if ever he come back and get my brother!" 

"Ouch!" You hold your ear that is turning red now

"Language... You know Eric just come out of nowhere and just keep on saying anything he hear" said your mom

You just nodded and quickly get out of your room only seeing Eric happily eating his breakfast. 

"He's too young to handle this" you whispered to yourself

"Come on sister! Let's eat" he said

It did not took you so long to prepare. When you packed up your things, Eric and you kissed your mother's cheeks. 

"Okay Eric, stay away from any trouble okay?" You warned your brother

"Oh c'mon! I haven't been into trouble my entire life. I can't be in trouble this time too. Besides, I'm a grown up Eric now, you should not worry about me anymore" he confidently said

"Lol Eric, you're just 13 years old. You're still a kid" you tease 

"No! I'm not a kid anymore" he pouted

"Aww see? You're so cute" you laugh and pinch his cheeks

"Argh! Goodbye sister, I must go now or we'll both be late" he said and got out of the car 

He waved at you before entering the school. Before going to work, as usual, you stopped at your favorite coffee shop. 

"Here's your coffee ma'am" 

"Such a happy Monday" you said as you got your coffee. You're about to enter the car when a guy bumped into you

"What the-!" He complained

"Hey it's your fault! Watch where you're going!" You answered

"Was it mine? You see, I'm in a hurry. What a Monday!" He shouted

All people who pass by are looking at you. You just pretended like you did not saw them and just get inside your car but before that, you rolled your eyes on that guy who ruined your day but he just gave you a "you're going to pay for this" look. 

You're way too far from the coffee shop when the traffic light turned into red so you had to stop. Something unexpected happened after some seconds. You saw the guy closer to where you are, running, with only 5 seconds left to go. 

"He's not gonna make it" you whispered 

Since you're car is at the corner, you called him. 

"Hey! Ride!" You shouted

He just ignored you and instead, run faster. 

The light turn into green which means "Go" so you activate your car. You saw him, covered with sweat. You waited until the light will turn to red again, and when already happen, you ask him for a ride.

"You know what? You could have be at your work now" he said, catching his breath

"At least, I got someone who has the same situation as me. Look, we both ruined our days, we both help each other okay?" You explain
