"Friends like Joy are no good afterall." I muttered and shurugged before I ran back to the field to watch John play. I had missed the kickoff and the first half but I was just in time for the second half. John's team was leading with three goals to nil and I was so excited. In about 45 minutes, the game came to an end and the school's team emerged victorious.
"You did good out there, I am impressed" said, grinning chin to chin.
"Thank you,we'll talk tomorrow. I am exhausted." John whispered to me with a peck. He knew I had already fallen for him.
I walked back to my room, beaming with smiles. Now I was sure I was deeply in love with him.
After my classes the next day, I hurried to the cafeteria where John and I had agreed to meet. He was already at the table closest to the exit. In less than a minute, I apotted him, as the caf was not too crowded.
"What's up Ada.How are you doing?" John asked. "I'm good and you?" I replied quietly."
They were in a public place and me being the shy type felt very uneasy but tried hard not to show it.
"So about that stuff I told you about" John began.. "Any feed back yet?"
"Erhmm, I am sorry i accused you of being a player. Joy got into my head. But dont you think this is all so fast. I mean..me and you in a relationship?"
"Not at all. I totally understand. I could give you more time if you need to think it through again. But its also okay if you think i am not good enough. I know ..."
"No, my mind's made up ,"I said, cutting him off, "I really love you and i would love to be your girlfriend.....
