Me and Jack have been pals for a while. Maybe about a week. And I'm beginning to trust him more everyday. He's like a best friend I never had.
Ever since he came into my life I never slept better.
"Goodnight Hiro," he called from my window. "Goodnight Jack," I called back.
I watched as he shut the window and flew away. I lied down in my bed wondering where he goes every night. Maybe to the other Guardians he told me about.
Then I was out like a light.

Laughter.
All I hear is laughter.
Mocking laughter.
I thought I was free. I thought this was over.
You can never be free from yourself.
I try to tune the voices out while walking to school. I need to look happy for my friends.
Friends? They don't care about you. They just hang around you because they think your sadness is interesting. They're just feeding off your pain and they're going to stab you in the back one day.
No, that's not true.
It is and you know it.
Shut up.
And Jack? He's tricking you. He's fooling you into thinking you want to be friends. He's trying to get close to you so he can ultimately hurt you in the end.
No!
And when that happens, you'll regret throwing away that razor.
LEAVE ME ALONE!!!
I didn't realize I was already at the school until someone put their hand on my shoulder. It was Fred.
"Hey there, pipsqueak," he said and the group gathered around me threateningly. "W-What's going on?" I asked, getting scared. He smirked and signaled to Wasabi. Wasabi held me painfully tight by my arms. They all laughed as I tried to get free.
Gogo came in front of me angrily and said, "This is for killing Tadashi." She used all her might to punch me in the stomach. I yelped in pain and they all smiled. They all took turns in punching me until Fred power kicked me in the stomach knocking me out of Wasabi's grip and onto the ground.
"You deserve this you worthless no one," Wasabi said. Gogo grabbed my neck and squeezed. She said through her teeth, "Why don't you hurry and kill yourself?"
"Why are you doing this?" I asked them. Honey bent over to me with her hands on her knees, smiling sweetly, and said, "Because no one loves you. No one ever will. We only cared about Tadashi. From the beginning we knew you were worthless and a waste of time the moment he introduced you to us. Now that Tadashi's dead, you have no reason to be living. You should be with him like a good brother." They all began kicking me in my sides. "Look at him squirm," Fred laughed.
Callaghan came out the entrance of the Institute. I called out to him, "Please! Help!" He just crossed his arms in satisfaction smiling at the scene. I begin calling out to anyone who could hear me.
Just die.
No one loves you.
Worthless. Waste of time.
Just die.

I sit up in bed screaming at the top of my lungs, covered in sweat. I notice the moon glowing on my chest.
Throw it away.
I clutch onto it crying. It was a dream. Just a dream. But the voices haven't left. I thought they left along with the razor. I whispered, "Jack... I need you."
He won't come.
I'm not listening to you.
Jack's POV:
I was chatting it up with the guys at the table, laughing, having fun.
"Jack... I need you."
Hiro.
"Sorry guys, I just remembered I got something I need to take care of. See ya later," I told them, grabbing my staff and flying all the way to Japan hearing North calling after me. I ignored him.

I get to his window and see him looking at the moon necklace I gave him. I opened the window and whispered, "Hiro?" He jumped out of his bed as he noticed me and ran to hug me. "You came," he said. I hugged him back and asked, "Is everything alright?" He backed away. "No, Jack," he said, "I still want to die. I don't know why the voices won't go away. Help me, please." I watched as tears ran down his face and his eyes screamed for help. I hugged him tightly again, not knowing what to say. He's too young for his mind to be tortured.
I calmed his crying down after a while and I asked, "What happened?" He took a deep breath and told me about his nightmare and everything the voices were saying. He finished by telling me, "Jack.. you're all I have left." My heart ached.
"Hiro?" I asked, "Do you mind telling me how you got like this?" He bit his lip before saying, "Okay."
My assumptions were right. He lost his brother. And his name was Tadashi. He sounded like a great brother from what Hiro was telling me. He laughed slightly when he told me how he always tried to keep Hiro away from illegal bot fighting. And then he was taken away just like that.
I imagine this is what my sister went through. Seeing Hiro go through it is tearing me up inside. When he finished, I asked, "Where's the note I wrote you?" He rummaged through his things before grabbing it and holding it out to me. I put my hand up refusing it. "It's for you," I said, "Please read it again." He looked at me questionably before reading the letter once more.
I closed my eyes and focused. The words on the paper turned a bright glowing blue before completely coming off the paper. Hiro dropped the paper staring in shock at the floating letters. They began going into his forehead as they were supposed to and I put my forehead to his making sure they stayed, with my eyes still closed. "Always remember," I whispered.
I felt him smile. "I will," He said. With this, my heart grew larger and it fluttered a bit. I think I'm falling for him.
Hiro's POV:
I heard the words from letter echo in my head as he put his forehead to mine. He whispered to me, "Always remember." I smiled. "I will," I said back.
Jack makes me feel loved and cared about. It's making me addicted to his presence. He makes the voices in my head disappear. He's my cure.
I felt my heart pound.
I'm falling for him.
