Chp. 12 : to go with the whole Green arrow facade

Maya's POV

We started watching Oliver and my dad training. There training there selves for a fight against this dude with a book. Im kinda starstruck by seeing my father. My hero. After my moms near death experience and my fathers disappearance, I feel like I honestly need a break.

" I'm betting my money on Barry!" Said Lois.

" Same!" I said. " Oliver never had speed till today, And I can see that my dad set up those." I say pointing to the remote control bows secretly.
" remote control bows." I state.

" good eye kid!" She said ruffling my hair.

" my bets on Oliver!" My mom says.

" you're not gonna go with your future husband?" Asked Lois.

Clark and my mom both gave Lois a glare. I just started to giggle. Lois and I fisted bumped.

My dad shot an arrow and Oliver caught it but to his surprise he got shot with to arrows in the back.

" You SHOT me!" Oliver screamed.

"Does this mean Barry won?" Lois asked me.

" yeah!" I reply watching the argument unfold between the green arrow and the flash.

" We WON! BOO YAH ! Lois screamed. We gave each other high fives.

Oliver started charging at my dad and he flipped over my dads back. " if you really knew how to use my speed, I wouldn't be able to lay a finger on you." My dad says and walks off into the kitchen.

After an hour or so of people doing there own thing. I decide to grab a water bottle. I see my father sitting on a kitchen stool. His back towards me looking out the window.

" If you were sent to give me a motivational speech it won't work." He says looking out of the window.

" No, actually I wanted some water." I say walking to the fridge.

"Oh, it's you."

" who did you think it was?" I say sitting in the stool next to him.

" Kara, Oliver, actually anyone except you." He says looking lost and angry.

"What you did out there was a jerk move, but he should have been aware of his surrounding. But he also only been a speedster for a day. I've been trained all my life and I still don't have everything master down. Like I can't even make a time remnant, without it turning evil." I throw my hand over my mouth after saying the last bit.

" Your a speedster! For real?" He says in shock.

I nervously chuckle. "Oh look at this wall! Great paint work!" I say pointing to the wall.
" Is this Clark's old report card?"

"Maya!" My dad says.

" Ok! I'm a speedster sent by the speed force to stop my mom from making a decision that will end in chaos. I lost my powers while I'm here, so I can't go home."

"You haven't been the only speedster from the future I've encountered." He says chuckling.

" So Nora's here." I say blandly.

He gasped. " You know Nora?"

"Yeah kinda." I thought back to a time where Nora actually liked me.

" What's your superhero name?" He asked excitedly.

" Supernova!" I reply.

" Supernova, that's cool."

" But some people call me : The  Flash !"  I say standing in a superhero pose.

" So your the flash also?" He says raising an eyebrow.

" Yes I am! My dad  called me that And my kinda sorta technically my aunt ( iris) called me that as well ."

We ended up talking for thirty minutes.

" Hey Barry, I can show you some combat moves, to help with the whole 'Green Arrow' facade?"

He smiled. "Sure."

We walked outside into the yard.

" So do you know how to drop kick someone?" I ask with a goofy grin.

" Um I don't but I'm pretty sure green arrow does." He stated

" Let me tell you something!" I walk up to my dad and punch him in the face and then kick him in the stomach. " Never let your guard down."

He stumbles to the ground. I give him my hand. He declines. He sits up and throws a punch at my face. I duck and he misses. He comes at me swinging another punch and I caught his fist.

"Reflex's!" I state with my world famous guilty smile.

We break apart and he kicks me in the stomach. I stumble to the ground and get back up, he then punched me. And my lip starts to bleed.

" You finally got one on me!" I yell.

I then grabbed his arm and put it behind his back. I kick him in the back of the leg and he fell to his knees.

" Im gonna let you go, just to be gracious."

He looked angry. I started to hear clapping from behind us. I see everyone watching us. My mom looks disappointed.

" You see Barry you got taken down by a sixteen year old!" Oliver laughed.

" I'm twenty-three!" I stated. " Come at my crappy speedster and try to lay a hand on me." I yell. Oliver looks a little taken back by my words.

" That's my girl!" yells Lois.

" Maya." My mom says from the door frame.
" Barry and Oliver made up. We're gonna go to Gotham on earth 1 you wanna come?"

"Yes!" I reply scrambling to my feet.

" Maya can we talk about those moves you pulled out there. That's like 'league of assassins' moves ?"

" We can talk about that later." I say walking away.

" Maya." She says giving me her pout face.

" Mom you can't know! ok?"

" okay." She says looking sad.

" I'm sorry for yelling." I apologize.

Her smile returns. " Apology accepted, now let's go!"
