The Past Watch

Chapter 2

[A photo frame is seen and you see the professor wearing a grey suit and his standing next to Lexa and Lanys and they are wearing black togas]

Lanys: (softly) I can't believe he's gone. He was there for all our graduations and he promised to be there for our College one.

[Lanys is holding the photo frame and she is just staring at it. Lexa is standing right beside her]

Lexa: I know, sis. It was a beautiful service. I couldn't believe how many people showed up.

[Lanys puts the photo in the table and she looks at Lexa]

Lanys: Doesn't surprise me, he inspired so many people in his life, but he had so much to live for, he was only 36 years old.

Lexa: Yeah, he deserved better.

[Lanys cleans the tears coming out of her eyes]

Lanys: He didn't get the chance to be a father.

Lexa: I know, but he was a father to a lot of us. He made us all believe in our dreams.

Lanys: (sobbing) it's not fair.

Lexa: I heard his mom said that he is finally reunited with his true love.

[Lanys looks directly at Lexa]

Lanys: (curious) What do you mean?

Lexa: Supposedly, his high school sweetheart was his true love, I think she said his soul mate, or something.

Lanys: (surprised) wow.. I didn't know that, he never told me.

Lexa: Apparently, he didn't tell anyone. So don't be shocked.

Lanys: I wonder who she was.

Lexa: Me, too.

Lanys: Last thing, we talked about was about my only...

[Lanys starts remembering her last conversation with The Professor and that memory makes her put her head down and Lexa puts her hands on her shoulder]

Lexa: It's going to be okay, sis. It'll take time, but we will make it.

Lanys: (sobbing) I know. He gave me this.

[Lanys takes out the set of random keys from her purse and gives them to Lexa]

Lexa: Keys? Why would he give you keys?

Lanys: I don't know.

Lexa: What are they for?

Lanys: I don't know.

Lexa: Did he say anything when he gave them to you?

Lanys: Only that I'll figure it out, don't know what he meant.

[Lexa keeps looking at the keys and sees something]

Lexa: Two of the keys has initials.

[Lanys looks at the keys]

Lanys: You are right. One key has an L and the other a P.

Lexa: Yeah and this one has a number 316.

Lanys: 316? Isn't that...

[Lexa gives a faint smile]

Lexa: Yes, he's office room. These keys have to do with his office room, we need to check it out.
