My life was going smoothly, I finally turned 18 and I was able to actually leave the house. Even though my parents were always easy-going I still felt like I was confined to them in some way. Tonight was the night where my friend, Lizzy and I were going to celebrate my birthday even though it was a little late. While I was driving I kept noticing that the car behind me was always there following every turn and every move; if I got faster, they got faster. "Hey Liz, do you know the car behind us?" I kept my eyes on the road while she did some investigating. "Girl, relax! They are probably going to the same club." Lizzy was always the type to not really care about little things like that. "You are right. We are almost there." Lizzy and I had been planning this trip for ages and we had finally convinced my parents I should finally be able to experience some splice of life before college. My car pulled neatly into the parking space and I reluctantly pulled the keys from the ignition. "Liz.. I have a bad feeling about this." My gut was twisting in all sorts of ways, the feeling was getting worse every second. "I am going to make you have fun, forget about the stupid car already." Those were her last words before she dragged me into the front doors of the oh so crowded night club. It was bright and had the smell of alcohol throughout the entire place. I had been to a party once before and it was way calmer than this ever thought about being. It felt like taking LSD for the first time and then getting on a Ferris wheel. (We don't talk about it.) Lizzy had left me to go grab some drinks, so I took the liberty to shake my nerves off and start dancing. Even though the place reeked the atmosphere was really fun and enticing which was slightly off putting since no club ever offered that kind of feeling. Lizzy had been gone for quite sometime before I finally wondered to the bar. "Hey, have you seen this girl?" I showed the bartender a picture of Lizzy and his eyes slightly darkened. "She went to the restroom." His voice was dark and deep as he lifted his finger to the direction of the restroom. I followed his directions to where the bathroom was but was instead met with a heavy set of hands that covered my mouth and eyes and another set of hands that bounded my wrists together. Screaming was no use in this situation. I had watched many TV series that showed this exact scene and it never ended up good, at all. "L-Lizzy...!" I mumbled before getting hit up side the head which followed with me slumped over. When I woke up it felt like a ton of bricks were on my head and chest. I recalled every thing that happened over the past hours and I started to thrash hoping someone would come to help me. "If you don't stop I will make you." That voice.. it was so familiar. I know! The bartender. "W-Why am I here? Who are you?" My voice sounded foreign to me like I was powerless. "Shut your mouth. You are not to be asking questions you scum. You are lucky we even let you live with how good your blood smelled." His voice was cold and harsh. "My blood?" It was barely above a whisper before my voice just cut out all together. This couldn't be happening, I was supposed to be going off to college or doing stupid stuff with Lizzy. I'm scared..
Hello, thank you for reading the first chapter of my new book. Please understand that this isn't your typical vampire romance where the girl cries every five seconds but is something new, so I hope you all enjoy! Please leave me comments on anything I could fix or how to make it more interesting.
