The Arranged Married

Chapter 8

07.02 AM, at Martin Sun Apartment, Batam.

Rose wakes up form her long sleeping night. She gets up and walks out from her room. She can feel her stomach is getting much better than last night. She is surprise when she sees the packages that she should do yesterday, now they have already well arranged on the living room. She checks the package one by one and compares them to her list on laptop, all is perfect! She can't believe that Sean really did it well.

"Good morning, diarrhea girl. Have you gotten better?", Vanessa walks out from her room and goes to the kitchen.

"Yeah. Thanks for taking care of me last night.", Rose says while sending messages to the courier to fetch the packages. "Why do you wake up so early?"

"Uh, I'm going to Surabaya again. Dave and I had discussed about our wedding plan last night. So, I will be taking afternoon flight with him.", Vanessa answers while preparing sandwiches for them.

"Oh, Dave! Tell me more detail now!", Rose walks to kitchen and pour a warm water into a glass then she drinks it.

"Relax. Everything is okay now. He had shown me the messages between his family and him. From those messages, I can see that his family have changed their mind. But, unfortunately, they said that I had to plan to continue studying again and have my own business."

Rose is amazed by what Vanessa says just now. "Seriously? That is great! Instead of looking down on you, they're supporting you to have better future now. Will they pay all the fees?"

"Of course, they will. Dave was quite afraid to tell me about his family requirements, but I've told him that as long as their requirements are good for me then I'll have no doubt to follow them. Although, I'm lazy to continue studying again.", Vanessa says while opening the refrigerator. "Oh, no. We run out of egg."

"I'll go to the convenience store. If the courier comes..."

Ding Dong! The door's bell rings.

Rose goes to their apartment's door and opens it. What makes her startles is because the guy that standing in front of their door is not the courier guy, he is Sean with some carton and plastic bags on both of his hands.

"Uh... What are you doing here?", Rose asks. She opens the door but she's blocking the way for Sean to pass.

Sean smiles and says, "I think Vanessa and you might be hungry. So, I bring some breakfast for both of you."

"I can hear you, Sean! Come in!", Vanessa yells from the kitchen.

Rose moves away to let Sean comes into the apartment.

"Thank you.", Sean says while passing Rose. He goes to the dining table which is near to the kitchen. "Good morning, Vanessa. I bring some sandwiches, pancake, milk, waffle, and omelette for you girls."

"Oh, really? You're my angel, because we just realize that we run out of egg. So, I can't make sandwiches for this lady boss. Are you coming to have breakfast with us?"

"If you don't mind.", Sean says then his eyes go to where Rose is standing right now.

"Of course, we don't mind! Let's have a seat and enjoy our breakfast!", Vanessa says while leaving all the bread that she has prepared at the kitchen. She brings 3 glasses from the kitchen to dining table.

Vanessa sits in the between of Rose and Sean. Sean and Rose sit face to face. Inside of Rose's heart, she feels a little bit of guiltiness because she has been treating Sean unfriendly. Besides, Sean helped him doing the packing last night, she shouldn't have treated him that bad. So, she decides to pour some milk from the bottle to Sean's glass after she pours some to Vanessa's glass. Sean is a little bit surprise and he just can't hold the happy feeling he gets right now. He smiles with his blushing face.

"Stop smiling like that, it makes you look stupid.", Rose says when she realizes Sean's reaction.

Vanessa chuckles. "Sean, you're really an honest person. You can never hide your feeling."

"What time will you leave?", Rose asks Vanessa.

It causes a short shock attack to Sean because he thought Rose was asking her to leave when he just arrived there.

"Dave will fetch me around 11 AM. You don't have to accompany me to airport, because I won't be back to Batam so soon, you have to buy some groceries and prepares food for yourself right after I leave.", Vanessa says while enjoying her waffle.

"Oh, you're right. I'll order some groceries from the online service app."

"How about I buy for you? Because I'm running out of groceries in my apartment also.", Sean offers to Rose carefully. "I mean, since you're always busy and I'm one of your neighbours..."

"What do you do, Sean?", Rose asks.

"I'm... just a freelancer. Why?"

"You've done the packing quite well.", Rose answers and after she drinks the milk, she continues saying, "I'm thinking about hiring you for working on my online shop, but for temporary only."

Sean looks excited. "Really? I can cook for you too if you don't mind."

Rose chuckles. "Just don't burn my kitchen."

Three of them laugh together. It is such a good progress in their relationship. Sean and Vanessa can see that Rose is trying to be welcome more to Sean now. Maybe after what happened last night, Rose has changed her mind and tried to add someone's name on her list. It has been quite long Rose never being that friendly to someone she just knew. Inside of Rose's heart, she hopes that everything is going well and good as what she expected. Inside of Sean's heart, he hopes that he will never lose Rose's trust. Inside of Vanessa's heart, she just wants to leave this apartment as soon as possible so she can let her best friend works together with the new neighbour. After Dave fetches Vanessa and the online shop packages also have been picked up by the courier, Finally Rose takes out her online shop stocks from storage room to living room and gives Sean instruction to prepare all the packages.
